Will this fit Hitachi 10" saws?

Very easy to setup. You just put the laser in place of the washer and then use the screws they provide based on the length you need. Locks in blades just the same.

It should, I dont see it on the exceptions list, but as long as you have a 5/8's arbor you should be fine.. I have put it on a Pro-Tech and Ryobi Miter saw without any issues. They list Pro-tech as not working but it works great.

After a couple of months without having a laser guide on my Hitachi C10FCE2, I thought it would be something nice to have just to make it easier to lineup up. And for less then $25 it most certainly did.

Installation was a snap.
1. Remove bolt that holds the saw washer on.
2. Remove the original saw washer.
3. Replace the original saw washer with laser guide.
4. Install and re-tighten original bolt.

That was it! In less then a minute I had myself a brand new, laser shooting, wood dicing machine!

How is the accuracy you ask? Perfect! The laser is shot to the left of the blade, so you have to make sure you measure and cut your work correctly or you could be off by as much as the saw blade's width. Something a LOT of people don't think about or know how to compensate for.

All in all, a great addition to my C10FCE2 that I should have purchased sooner.

Pros:
Cheap.
Accurate.
Comes with extra long bolts for multiple applications, just in case (I didn't have to use them).
Installation was a snap.
Works as advertised.
Well built, I'm sure it'll last the life of the saw.

Cons:
"Made in China to Irwin Tools specifications", yes but it's still made in China.

I purchased this guide to complement an inexpensive miter saw I purchased on Amazon. I've used it with two Hitachi Compound Miter Saws with good results.
This product replaces the arbor washer on the saw and automatically produces a red guide line along the left side of the blade when you start the saw. I found the guide to be very helpful. Just mark your workpiece with a pencil and center the guide over the mark. You will quickly get the hang of it. Just make sure that the "keeper" portion is cut on the left side of the blade.
This unit came with a nice little soft case and several alternative replacement arbor bolts in case the OEM one doesn't work. You will need to make sure you have clearance between the blade guard and the arbor nut once the guide is installed. Tolerances were fairly tight on the Hitachi C10FCE2, but it worked.
User Notes:
1. I typically set up my saw outdoors. In bright sunshine the red guide can be difficult to see. For best results position the saw so the left side of the blade is in the shade or do your cutting in a location where you can control the lighting.
2. Be aware that using this guide may require more attention when cutting thicker stock. One and two inch material works fine, but if you intend to cut 4 x 4 material be careful. The diameter of the laser guide is wider than the washer it replaces so you don't have as much clearance on thick stock. I found it worked okay when I was paying attention, but if you fully depress the blade you're going to wind up marring the end of your material.

Nice find, it looks like a good upgrade for older saws.

Being that the beam is not centered to the blade it kinda sounds like this could lead to some mistakes if your not compensating for it. And being that you have to compensate for it I wonder how useful something like this really is. Im pretty dead on accurate with my 12" Dewalt compound miter saw and this kinda makes me think Id be more inclined to aim with it and shoot without thinking making mistakes/bad cuts more likely.

I was worried about this too before I tried one -- it's surprisingly accurate. I don't even draw the miter line, just make a mark and trust the laser. Realize what side of the blade the laser is on before cutting of course.

Alright, what the heck, Ill give it a try.

Well, from the description on the page the Dewalt is NOT listed as an incompatible saw, so Im assuming it will. Few people in the Amazon reviews say they use it with Dewalt saws. Although after reading the reviews on Amazon Im kinda thinkin I should have passed on this. LINK [amazon.com]
