If a bag I want is cheaper at Macy's than it is at Nordstorm, what are the chances they would match the price of Macy's discounted value AND match the coupon?

From just looking slightly around in my store probably the best bet for the VIP Coupon is womens/juniors/children's Levi's. The coupon actually works on Levi's, which is a rarity, so the prices aren't that bad. At least on the non-clearance ones, you would have been better off buying clearance Levi's last weekend. Not worth it on men's Levi's as that they're currently $49/$59, so you'd be better off waiting for the usual sale price or one of the buy 1 get one 50% off sales.

Also, last I checked men's Dockers are a pretty good price.

I want to stack the 10% off furniture with the 15% from opening an account. This would be awesome if it works.

I can't see any reason that there would be a problem with this. Only limitation that is usually there for the new account discount is that it only applies to $100 worth of discounts.

The discount for opening an account is called a "back office discount," it won't show up when you make your purchase, it shows up on your credit card statement. More than likely if you check a couple days after you make your purchase(s) it'll show the discount on your recent transactions on the Macy's website.

Oh, do you mean for a credit card account? I just opened an online account and got an email with a promo code for 15% off, and when I have one promo code entered it says you can only use one promo code per order. But if it's for the credit card then that makes sense.

Yeah by opening an account I meant "opening a Macy's charge card account." It's essentially the only discount that works with a coupon/promo code. Sorry for any confusion.
