Extremely minor clarification, but I think the price should actually be $59.59, rather than $59.50. That's what I was charged.
Yes, sure, most buyers of this jacket - myself included - would be better off spending the money on food or basic toiletries. But what fun is that?
Also - though I don't see myself doing this - sometimes buyers pick up deals like this for resale purposes. Ultimately their goal is to make money, not waste it.
Patagonia is probably one of the best run companies along-side Costco.
