PC Digital Download Games: Civilization V $6 (expired)

Not a bad deal, Civilization V Gold two weeks back was $12.50 on Steam. If you can wait for the next Steam Spring sale it should go for that price again.

heres my situation:

-bought civ 5 a while ago (base game)
-then bought gods and kings a month or so ago from gmg for 5 bucks.

Now i just want all the other content, but its looking like i might be better off just buying the whole gold package. Any other solution to this? Does anyone sell a "gold" upgrade?

I should also mention: I usually wait for games to drop in price, but i end up with this situaiton for a lot of games. I need to wait just that little much longer to get the dlc without getting boned.

If i buy the gold edition and i already have the regular game will i get an extra copy of the game in my inventory?

Yeah that's what I need too. Steam sells a Gold upgrade but it's $20 right now, so more than the entire package from GMG. I'm not sure what the upgrade cost drops to when the base game goes on sale on Steam but presumably much lower. I think I'll wait for a Steam sale to hopefully just snag the gold upgrade for ~$5.

1. Buy the Gold Edition and redeem it.
2. Steam will show your duplicate copies as gift-able.
3. Give them to a friend.
4. Now you have a friend to play with!

Crap I thought the gold edition does not include Gods & Kings so I bought both! Now WTS code for Gods & Kings for $5, please pm me if interested, will respond in 12 hours (newbie post, hopefully this is ok here...)

in past experiences, this has never worked. Steam will NOT give you gift-able copies.

The only retailer ive bought from that this is possible is amazon - since they usually give you a key for every individual game in the pack. Steam will give you giftable copies of valve games - but any other pack it tells you your SOL. Not sure about GMG, but id guess this will not work.

If anyone else wants to give it a shot be my guest, but im probably just gonna wait until steam sells the gold upgrade for 5 bucks.

Yes you will. You will not be able to use the steam workshop if that matters to you though.
