MyProtein Clothing Review: Are Their Clothes as Good as Their Supplements?

Could a small supplement company really rival an elite fitness brand in quality and value of fitness apparel?

With frequent Frontpage deals on protein powder, MyProtein has become a popular brand on Slickdeals. They offer a high-quality product at a great price, and if you haven’t seen our taste test yet, check it out. But, did you know that MyProtein also has a fitness apparel line? Neither did we, but we recently had the opportunity to test out some of clothes they offer.

Given that we didn’t even know MyProtein sold workout clothes, we immediately imagined getting swag-like apparel with giant logos, and were a bit hesitant to even do a review. But after looking at their clothing section, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything looked very stylish, and there was a 40% off coupon for all clothing, so you know that caught our eyes.

Items We Tried

Many of the MyProtein workout clothes we tried could stand up side by side with popular brands like Nike, Under Armour, Gymshark and Adidas. The designs are trendy and functional, and the clothing is not like that cheap stuff that looks cool the first time you wear it, but then completely deteriorates after a few washes. There are plenty of style options, whether you like loose fitting or skin tight workout clothes. Their branding is also very discreet, letting the material and design do the talking instead.

MyProtein’s workout clothes fit well overall. Some items, like the seamless tank top, were definitely on the tighter side, but in fairness, that was by design. Additionally, none of the items we tried experienced any shrinking in size after several washes, which is always a plus.

We did several tough workouts (you can see one of them here!) and the clothes performed just as well as anything we’ve worn from other brands. The moisture-wicking material was both stretchy and comfortable.

Were the MyProtein clothes better than other more popular brands? Probably not, but they were just as good — and more affordable. If you find something you like browsing their site, definitely give it a try. We know it’s easy to be brand loyal when it comes to fitness apparel, but if you can save a significant amount of money and get the same value, it’s worth testing out the competition.

Should You Try It?

If you go by the “list price,” MyProtein doesn’t have super competitive prices. However, there have been very few times in the past few months that we’ve been to their site and not seen a really good deal. Site-wide coupons and sales are very frequent, so set a deal alert for MyProtein or check out their store page on Slickdeals for the latest coupons and deals.
