All the New Movies Streaming Early Due to Theater Closures

You can enjoy films like The Invisible Man, Birds of Prey and Onward while social distancing from home long before their originally planned digital release dates.

At Slickdeals, we work hard to help you find the best deals. To do this, some of the products featured here are from our partners, who may provide us with compensation. However, this doesn’t influence our opinions. Our views are our own.

For the first time ever in the history of cinema, box offices across the nation reported zero dollars in revenue.

Tinseltown is responding with an unprecedented move by allowing audiences to enjoy blockbuster theatrical releases from the comfort of their own homes — something normally reserved for B- and C-movies. Unfortunately, that’s really the only option, seeing as movie theaters across the country are closed for the foreseeable future over COVID-19 fears. In conjunction, originally scheduled digital release dates have also been moved up.

The entire point of theater closures is to enforce social distancing, so don’t try to have a watch party in an attempt to get the most out of the average $20 cost of purchase or rental. But maybe you can figure out a way to host your own virtual red carpet premiere, complete with tubs of ice cream and fuzzy slippers.

So what’s coming to a TV or laptop near you? Below is a comprehensive list of all the major movies premiering on streaming services during the COVID-19 crisis. Bookmark this page as we’ll be updating it with more titles as the studios make their announcements.
