  • Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda Release Date – November 12th, 2021
  • MSRP for Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda – $49.99

Nintendo came out swinging at E3 2021, showing off a new Metroid title, Breath of the Wild 2 gameplay and a reboot of the iconic Advance Wars franchise. Beyond new game announcements, however, Nintendo also revealed Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda – a new handheld system that gives you access to three of the best retro games in the Zelda franchise.

It should come as no surprise, but the adorable Zelda Game & Watch is already one of Nintendo’s hottest products of 2021, with initial pre-orders selling out in seconds. With Breath of the Wild 2 not launching until 2022, it seems fans are itching to get their hands on the portable Zelda device.

At the time of this posting GameStop is accepting pre-orders for the Zelda Game & Watch device:

Although it doesn’t have the processing power of PS5 or Xbox Series X, the Zelda Game & Watch is already proving to be just as elusive as new-gen consoles. Right now, it looks like only a few retailers are accepting pre-orders, and you’ll need to stay vigilant if you’re hoping to find one in stock.

As is typically the case with hot Nintendo releases, don’t expect to find many discounts on the Zelda Game & Watch and consider yourself lucky if you manage to nab one before the end of the year.

Amazon offers a pre-order price guarantee, meaning if the price of the Game & Watch drops prior to launch, you’ll pay the lower price. It’s not likely the system will see a price cut in the coming months – but it’s nice to know you’re covered if it does.

Since your purchase will be over $35.00, GameStop will include shipping for free.
