Do you have plans to set sail soon on a cruise vacation? If so, the latest Amex Offers will give you up to $150 back when you pay for a select cruise.

Check your American Express cards to see if you have this offer:

  • Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend $500+ on cruise line sailings with Carnival, Holland America, Princess, Seabourn or Cunard by March 31, 2020.

Not all cards will have this offer, and you will need to activate the offer before purchase. If you have a cruise you are making payments on, you are in luck. This offer can be redeemed and used for payments, as well as purchasing a cruise vacation outright.

This offer can be used if you book through a travel agent, as long as your card is charged directly by the cruise line. Many cruise lines are offering great deals now, and the deals will start to pour in January through March, which is considered the “wave season.”

How To Make This AMEX Offer Go Even Further

Slickdealer gregfurthko says, “You can use multiple cruise offers for payments. Pay $500 with yours then $500 with p2, p3, etc. … However, it is one offer per social security number. In other words, if you have 3 AMEX cards in your name, you can only use the offer once. You need authorized user cards in spouse or kids’ names to use it multiple times.”

Many Slickdealers on the forum wondered if they could combine this offer with the cost-saving benefits of Costco travel. MisterBill says, “Problem with Costco and these AMEX offers is that they do not accept AMEX. You would need to book directly with the cruise line and use your AMEX, then transfer to Costco. But yes, you can stack it with Costco or other offers at places like Crucon.”

Slickdealers recommend contacting Costco before you buy, to make sure they will transfer the cruise to a Costco deal. Transferring cruises will not work on a cruise that is past its final payment date.

Another way to save on your cruise is to snag a senior citizen discount. Not a senior? Try setting a Deal Alert for your favorite cruise line to get up-to-date deals right to your inbox.

Thanks to MisterBill for posting the deal and providing valuable tips.

I am a lifestyle and personal finance writer based in SoCal and have been a freelance writer since way before working remotely was the new norm. Being a wife and a mom to three young awesome kids, I have made it a regular habit to check out Slickdeals (even before joining the SD content team) to help fill up my pantry and gift closet for 50-70% off retail prices. As a family of five, we go through snacks, gifts, and toilet paper at an alarming rate, so I love a good deal and am also not afraid to dig through a thrift store to score incredible finds. When not writing about amazing deals to help people save and cool things on sale, I am taking care of my three girls, homeschooling, or stuck with my nose in a book. Sometimes, at the same time.
