With Black Friday madness on the horizon, most people fall into one of two camps: those who couldn't possibly care less, and those who are already making shopping lists.

But even if you dislike the holiday, there's no denying that the opportunity to score a great deal on something you need or want is enticing — especially when you can shop online and avoid the crowds altogether.

That being said, you still need to buy smart and make sure you’re really getting your money’s worth. That's why we're launching a series of guides to cover the season's most popular products and their anticipated prices.

This week, we're zeroing in on the Black Friday laptop deals we're hoping to see in 2018. Will the one on your wish list go on sale?

Possible Black Friday Laptop Deals for 2018

1. Microsoft Surface Pro

Black Friday Laptop Deals: Microsoft Surface Pro

Best Buy's 2017 Black Friday sale featured the Microsoft Surface laptop for $899 (Reg. $1,079).

We're hoping to see similar deals on the Surface Pro in 2018, especially since we've already spotted it priced around $700 this year on our forums.

Last year, B&H had some of the best deals out there on the Apple MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. We even saw a 2016 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar sell for $1,599 (Reg. $2,399).

This year, we're hoping for even better deals on these popular Touch Bar designs.

3. Alienware Gaming Laptops (13, 15 & 17)

MSRP: Starting at $1,349.99 | Lowest Price Seen on Slickdeals: $1,177 | Predicted Black Friday Price: $1,000

Gamers love Dell's Alienware laptops, and we saw the Alienware 17 priced at just $1,499.99 during last year's Black Friday sales (Reg. $1,724.99).

Given the release of the Alienware 17 R5 earlier this year, we expect to see some particularly good deals on its predecessors in the coming months.

Black Friday Laptop Deals: Huawei MateBook X Pro

MSRP: $1,199.99 | Lowest Price Seen on Slickdeals: $1,199.99 + $300 Amazon gift card | Predicted Black Friday Price: $999

Tech Radar calls the Huawei MateBook X Pro the best laptop of 2018, and it's giving Apple a serious run for its money. While we haven't seen its price actually drop yet, we have seen some sweet incentives (like $300 Amazon gift cards) thrown in for good measure.

Look for similar deals on Black Friday — or even a $200 price drop. Fingers crossed!

Last year, there were no deals to be found on this popular Chromebook. This year, we're hoping to see that change.

We've already spotted the Google Pixelbook for $674 on our forums, so we wouldn't be surprised if its price fell even further on Black Friday.

wow, "MateBook X Pro" really? Did Huawei's marketing department basically just cobbled together the other company's product line and changed a few letters and words? Smilie

Being a consultant, I've been very interested in reading accounts of getting Huawei devices serviced. What's their warranty handling like, who does the servicing, etc. Funny thing is, all these reviews seem to glow about the product but NONE seem to want to approach that issue! Considering that I hear it from clients about how inconvenient Apple can be vs Dell (available on-site repair), I can't imagine how Huawei has garnered these reviews. And to think that's because the PR would want us to believe their stuff doesn't break… yeah, OK, sure, right.

Mate is acutally Huawei Brand, they have phones name as Mate series. So Matebook can actually justify itself.
