Qualifying for the $200 bonus is easy. You simply need to:

  1. Apply and qualify for a new Chase Total Checking account.
  2. Have a direct deposit from your employer or the government made to the new account within 90 days from your account opening date.

If you’re eligible for the offer and you satisfy the two conditions above, you should receive your $200 bonus within just 10 business days.

To be eligible for the offer, you need to be a new Chase checking customer or someone who hasn’t had a Chase checking account in the past 90 days. Any closed Chase checking accounts in your name also cannot have negative balances. Keep in mind that if you’ve received a new checking account bonus from Chase in the past two years, you won’t be able to receive the bonus.

Avoiding Monthly Fees

Note that Chase Total Checking does come with a $12 monthly service fee. While the monthly fee isn’t high, there are free checking account options out there for comparison. However, the bank does give you several easy ways to get this monthly fee waived:

  • Receive $500 or more in direct deposits to your account each month.
  • Have a minimum daily balance of $1,500 or more.
  • Keep an average daily balance of at least $5,000.

To receive the $300 bonus, you will need to satisfy the following:

  1. Apply and qualify for a new Chase Premier Checking account.
  2. Receive a paycheck, pension or government benefits direct deposit within 90 days from your account opening date.

It only takes 10 business days to receive your $300 bonus once you open a new Chase Premier Plus checking account and satisfy the bank’s criteria.

As with the previous offer above, you must be a new Chase checking customer to qualify (or someone without any open Chase checking accounts in the last 90 days). And if you have any old, closed Chase checking accounts in your name, they can’t have negative balances. Finally, you’re ineligible if you’ve received another new checking account bonus from Chase in the past two years.

Avoiding Monthly Fees

Be aware that the Chase Premier Plus checking does come with a sizable monthly fee of $25. But you can get this fee waived under the following circumstances:

  • Your average daily balance is at least $15,000 (in your Chase Premier Checking and other qualifying Chase accounts combined).
  • You have a first mortgage through Chase and you make automatic payments on your mortgage from your Chase checking account.

If you’re ready to open a new bank account for your business, Chase Total Business Checking is among the best small business checking accounts.
