Black Friday Fitness Apparel Deals

It’s that time of year again, Slickdealers! We’re talking carbohydrates galore, home-cooked family dinners and those deceptive elastic waistbands. Everyone in your office will soon start bringing in homemade treats, chilly temperatures will force you into hibernation, and new coffee creamers will emerge to tempt you with the artificial flavors of holiday cheer.

As we all know, however, this seasonal bliss eventually leads into January lifestyle changes and New Year’s resolutions. Go ahead and enjoy those extra servings of mashed potatoes, but don't get stuck paying top dollar for fitness apparel after the festivities are over. Plenty of stores are offering great Black Friday deals on fitness must-haves, because binge shopping and binge eating might as well go hand in hand.

Finish Line

Black Friday is coming early this year at Finish Line, as the popular retailer plans to begin its sales at 12:01 AM EST on Thursday, November 26th. You can either burn calories by shopping their doorbusters in-store or buy online Thanksgiving morning from the comfort of your couch. I'm a couch potato myself, so I like having the option to maintain my holiday sluggishness at home. I'm too weak to throw elbows in the store, anyways. (Hmm... fitness article, workout clothes on sale, weak arms... maybe the universe is trying to tell me something here.) But I digress. Let's talk about the deals.

Finish Line is offering up to 50 percent off its athletic merchandise, which includes deals for the entire family. Men and women alike will also find great discounts on the following athletic shoes:

  • $49.98 Reebok ZJET Soul (regularly $119.99)
  • $49.98 Nike Free 4.0 Print (regularly $99.98)
  • $39.98 adidas Amplify (regularly $79.99)
  • $29.98 Puma Carson Runner (regularly $64.99)
  • $44.98 Reebok ZPump (regularly $99.99)
  • $49.98 Reebok Twistform (regularly $74.99)

  • $59.98 Asics Flux (regularly $99.99)
  • $29.98 Puma Carson Runner (regularly $64.99)

Finish Line's ad promises $11.99 adidas tees and kids' Jordan long-sleeved tees, plus select NCAA fleece pants for the family for just $9.99 each (these typically go for $40.) Pair these with the store's NCAA fleece hoodies for men, women and children, which will be marked two for $35.

Even better, members of the store’s Winners Circle program receive an additional $20 back for every $200 they spend. The sale is slated to last through December 1st, but quantities are limited and some doorbusters end on November 30th at 11:59 PM. Be sure to shop this sale early to avoid missing out on any deals!

Sports Authority

I love when stores give out freebies, and that's exactly what Sports Authority is doing this year by offering its first 80 customers in line $15 cash cards. I'm not saying you should camp out overnight in a tent, but if you're in the neighborhood, you should definitely stop by. Also, if you spend $50 on athletic footwear between November 26th and November 28th, you'll receive another $15 cash card to use toward a future purchase. Combine that offer with the fact that the store's selection of mens's and women's Asics athletic shoes will be reduced by as much as $70, and you've got a pretty great deal. Keep in mind that you have to bring in the voucher from the store's Black Friday ad to take advantage of this deal.

You'll also find savings like 25 percent off select Nike items for the family. The deal is especially good for members of The League, because they'll receive double the rewards points on all their Nike purchases. Other notable deals include:

  • $4.99 men’s and women’s Champion t-shirts
  • $9.99 women’s Aspire sublimated leggings (regularly $36 each)
  • $17.99 Aspire side-zip fleece (regularly $45 each)
  • Adidas for the family starting at $9.60
  • Champion apparel for men and women starting at only $5.39
  • Women’s Aspire, Soybu and Bloom yoga apparel and accessories starting at just $4.79

DICK’S Sporting Goods

DICK'S Sporting Goods

Customers will see impressive savings at DICK’S Sporting Goods, which is slashing prices on brand name apparel and footwear, while offering doorbuster coupons to further sweeten the deal.

Some highlights from this year's ad include 50 percent off men's and women's adidas fleece separates and cold weather compression apparel for the family, 25 percent off Nike apparel and Under Armour fleece, and $39.98 New Balance shoes.

Customers can shop worry-free from the convenience of their own homes thanks to free shipping and free returns on all footwear and apparel purchases. You can also earn 3 percent back in rewards by using your ScoreCard. If you're shopping in-store, clip the two doorbuster coupons in the store's Black Friday ad that let you take $15 off both an athletic apparel purchase and an athletic footwear purchase of $59.99 or more.

Plus, if you spend more than $100 on either Thursday or Friday, you'll receive a $20 coupon to use toward a future in-store purchase from November 29th through December 16th or toward an online purchase between December 1st and December 16th.

Interestingly, DICK'S is encouraging shopper attendance by giving customers a chance to win one of 10 $500 gift cards simply by snapping a photo of a product in-store during the big sale. The sweepstakes, which runs from 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving until 5:15 a.m. on Black Friday, requires that customers use the hashtag #GiftThatMatters along with their shared photos on Instagram or Twitter.

Olympia Sports

Olympia Sports is offering some intriguing doorbusters this year. The store will feature a BOGO sale on men's and women's Champion fleece separates and fitness apparel. Customers can buy one fleece (at the regular price of $30 to $38) and then get one for just $2.99.

They're also offering 50 percent off on Champion Men's Performax Quarter Zip jackets and six Olympia t-shirts for just $20. Don't forget the coupon in the store's Black Friday ad for 20 percent off one regularly priced item.

MC Sports

Speaking of BOGOs, MC Sports is offering a "buy one, get one" for 50 percent off deal on its athletic footwear for men, women and children. You'll also find men’s and women’s Columbia fleece jackets for $29.99 and 25 percent off women's Nike Element and Under Armour zip shirts.

Modell’s Sporting Goods

I was personally super impressed with Modell’s Sporting Goods' Black Friday ad – the doorbusters exactly the kind of deals that make Black Friday a shopping event (and not just another ho-hum sale).

For instance, the store is taking 50 percent off men’s adidas fleece separates and pricing them from $22.50 to $30. Men's and women’s Champion fleece separates are also 50 percent off and priced at only $10 to $15. You can even score a Reebok 3-in-1 Systems Jacket for only $35 (regularly priced at $59.99).

Mo's is also reducing its adidas D Rose 773 III men’s basketball shoes from $114.99 to $57.70. Select Nike footwear for the family is 25 percent off, as are Nike Pro tops and bottoms for men, women and children. Another deal worth noting is that the store's Challenge fleece-lined leggings for women will be only $9.99. Now, I'm not a runner. (I did run a mile non-stop once last year and talked about it for a month, so there was that.) But if I did run outdoors, I would most definitely wear some fleece-lined leggings to stay warm. Plus, leggings are the most versatile bottoms you can own, so this is a fair price that's worthy of stockpiling.

Be sure to grab Mo's ad if you plan on shopping these doorbusters. You'll find coupons for 35 percent off regular priced apparel and footwear for additional savings in-store. And good ol' Mo will honor any competitors' coupons and meet their advertised prices.
