Chase Promotion Offers Cardholders Up to 5X Points at Supermarkets and for Grocery Delivery

Between May 1 and June 30, Chase cardholders will enjoy more points and miles for spending at grocery stores.

At Slickdeals, we work hard to help you find the best deals. To do this, some of the products featured here are from our partners, who may provide us with compensation. However, this doesn’t influence our opinions. Our views are our own.

Do you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve® credit card that you tend to use on business trips or vacation? Or perhaps you opened up an account with one of the company’s partner airlines like Southwest?

Since you can’t travel anywhere due to the coronavirus pandemic, it may seem like the rewards programs behind these credit cards are no longer useful. Thanks to Chase’s newly launched points system, that’s not true at all. Starting May 1 until June 30th, card members can now earn between 3X and 5X points or miles per dollar spent at eligible supermarkets and grocery store deliveries.

Whether you brave going into a store, settle for curbside pickup or have your food conveniently delivered to your door, you’ll earn rewards per $1 spent. The best part is, there’s no activation necessary for this promotional offer. This new system is already in place and you’ll begin earning as soon as you swipe your card.

All other credit cards such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred will get 3X points on groceries, while frequent flyers with partner airline cards like the United Explorer will be set up with 3x additional miles.

If you don’t fall into any of those categories, but have a Chase credit card through Marriott, it gets even better for you. From today until July 31st, Chase and Marriott credit card holders can receive 6X total points of up to $5,000 for every $1 spent on grocery purchases.

With so many restaurants and bars still closed, this couldn’t have come at a better time. Those home-cooked meals will taste even better knowing all the extra points and mileage you’re getting for them.
