Regardless of your PlayStation Plus status, you’re eligible for a free copy of Ratchet & Clank on March 1st. To claim your new game, simply log into your PlayStation account, head to the PlayStation Store and navigate to the Ratchet & Clank store page. From there you should be able to download and install the title at no cost.

Ratchet & Clank on PS4 is a re-imagining of the original title from 2002. Ratchet serves as the main character for most of the journey, although Clank becomes playable for several short segments of the game. The title was incredibly well-received at launch, garnering high praise from critics and putting up impressive sales figures. With Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launching in June, now is the perfect time to relive the classic tale that started it all.

Ratchet & Clank will be available for free from March 1st at 8 p.m. PT until March 31st. Although the game was only released on PS4, you’ll be able to play it on your new PS5 through backward compatibility.

While a free copy of the classic Ratchet & Clank adventure is plenty to get excited about, Sony is giving you something else to look forward to at the end of March. Starting March 25th, a collaboration with anime-focused subscription service Funimation will offer extended access for new subscribers, adding an additional 90 days to its 14-day free trial period.

Best of all – this is only the start of the renewed Play At Home Initiative. Sony announced it will reveal more titles and entertainment offerings in the coming weeks, and the program will run all the way to June. Just make sure you redeem your free copy of Ratchet & Clank before March 31st, at which point it will revert to $19.99.
