If you’ve been looking to upgrade from your old graphics card, now might be the time to finally pull the trigger. Through July 29th, NVIDIA is running an excellent promotion that allows customers to pick up a free copy of Death Stranding on PC after purchasing select GeForce RTX products, a savings of $59.99.

All eligible graphics cards are part of the RTX 20 lineup and are more than capable of running Hideo Kojima’s latest outing. Prices run the gamut — and several laptops are also included in the promotion — but expect to drop at least $300 to qualify for the free game. NVIDIA seems to be gearing up for the launch of a brand new line of graphics cards this holiday season, but if you don’t plan on purchasing one right away, the 20 series will certainly get you through the next several years.

While Death Stranding has been out on PS4 since 2019, the PC version didn’t come out until July 2020. If you’re happy with your current gaming rig, you can always purchase Death Stranding on its own. Currently, the game is on sale for $48.19 at CDKeys.

A full list of eligible products can be found on Nvidia’s website, but we found these to be the most exciting. Even better, all of these are able to run Death Stranding without breaking a sweat.

If you’d rather purchase a new laptop, here are two that come with a free Death Stranding code.

How to Redeem Your Free Death Stranding Code

After making a qualifying purchase, you should receive an email containing a Death Stranding promotional code from the retailer. This can take up to 14 days, so don’t worry if it doesn’t arrive immediately after purchase. With the code in hand, follow these simple instructions.

  1. Install and update your new graphics card.
  2. Install GeForce Experience.
  3. Log in to your GeForce Experience account.
  4. From the Account menu, select the “REDEEM” option.
  5. Enter your promotional code.

You’ll also need to make sure you have a Steam account, as that’s where you’ll be downloading Death Stranding. Note that not all retailers that sell Nvidia products are taking part in this promotion—if you don’t see it listed on the checkout page, be sure to ask the company before making a final purchase.

About Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, parted ways with Konami several years ago to work on Death Stranding. It is his first solo venture and received generally positive reviews among consumers and critics alike. Many praised it for its bold storytelling and emotional characters, while others claimed it was a glorified walking simulator. No matter how you see it, Death Stranding was a cultural phenomenon when it released on the PlayStation 4 last November and was one of the most intriguing games of 2019.

It came out on PC July 14th, so a brand-new set of players are now experiencung the divisive title. You can see the innovative game in action below.
