Peloton, the wildly popular at-home indoor fitness bike, will certainly help tone up your arms and legs — but only after you pay an arm and a leg for it. A Peloton bike costs $2,445, and you’ll need to pay an additional $39 per month for access to the studio classes that power the cycling workouts.
But what if you could essentially get the same thing as a Peloton — a high-quality, in-home stationary bike — for free? The lesser-known home fitness equipment manufacturer, ProForm, is offering exactly that.
How to Get an In-Home Stationary Bike for Free
For a limited time, the ProForm Studio Bike Pro is free when you purchase a three-year iFit membership, priced at $39 per month. (ProForm and iFit share a parent company, ICON Health and Fitness). So, while you’re tied into a three-year commitment of $39 per month, the bike itself is free.
And the total payment is still less than buying a Peloton — about $1,000 less, in fact. The total cost of the current ProForm Studio Bike Pro deal comes out to $1,403 over 36 months.
Note that the terms say this deal is only available for a limited time, but do not specify when the deal expires. See the full terms here.
As for the ProForm bike itself, it holds its own against Peloton and other high-end fitness equipment. Normally priced at around $999, the Studio Bike Pro features a silent flywheel, so it’s great for apartment-dwellers or parents who want to exercise when the kids are asleep. The bike has wheels, too, so you can roll it into a corner to save space when you’re done working out.
It also has adjustable handlebars and an adjustable seat, along with a 10-inch touchscreen with 180-degree swivel and varying digital resistance levels. It even comes with a set of 3-pound dumbbells that you can use for cross-training workouts.
That swiveling touchscreen will really come in handy when using the iFit app. While the app comes loaded with plenty of cycling classes, it also includes high-intensity interval training, strength training and yoga classes.
More Deals from ProForm
If biking isn’t your thing, ProForm is also offering the same deal on its Carbon E7 Elliptical ($0 down, $39/month for 36 months for iFit membership, 0%APR).
And there’s even more reason to snag this deal if you’re a fitness beginner. The classes on the iFit app are known for their incredible instruction. Some of the best fitness trainers in the world teach the pre-filmed classes. But you can also get real-time instruction and demos, plus a fitness video library curated to match your current fitness level and goals.
If you’ve been thinking of adding some cardio equipment to your home gym, but haven’t quite been able to bite the bullet because of the typically hefty price tags, you now have two chances to purchase high-end cardio equipment for a relatively low monthly price.
