While PC gamers have numerous keyboards to choose from, players across the country have pledged their allegiance to the Razer Huntsman Elite.

According to newly-released retail tracking data from NPD Group, the Huntsman Elite has been crowned the “#1 Best-Selling Gaming Keyboard in the United States.”

You can join the ranks of top gamers by getting your own Huntsman Elite from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, or the official Razer store.

Currently, Amazon has the best price on the Razer Hunstman Elite at $168.99, which is $31 off its retail price of $199.99. Best Buy has the next lowest price of $172.99.

How Elite Is the Huntsman?

The Huntsman Elite currently reigns over the gaming community for a few reasons. The keyboard features exclusively-designed optical switches that utilize lasers under every key to register your keystrokes. Not only does this improve speed and accuracy, it also greatly increases the keyboard’s lifespan. According to Razer, the Hunstman Elite is rated for 100 million keystrokes.

In the upper right-hand corner of the Huntsman Elite, you’ll find a multi-functional dial and three media keys to easily control your music or videos. And as is the case with all Razer peripherals, every key can be custom mapped via Synapse 3 — for example, use the dial to adjust volume, scrub through videos or scroll through e-books.

As you’d expect from a high-end gaming peripheral, the Huntsman Elite does not disappoint when it comes to RGB lighting. Razer’s signature Chroma system lets you customize each key individually with 16.8 million colors to choose from. You can also program the lighting surrounding the chassis, including the detachable leatherette wrist rest.

Razer also offers a non-elite version of the Huntsman, which still features the same optical switches and Chroma lighting, except without the media buttons, wrist rest and hefty price tag. The Huntsman is currently on sale at Amazon for $89.99, which is a $60 savings.
