Amazon Adds New No-Rush Shipping Reward

This program is still new, but you can find small savings on select items.

Savings come to those who wait – or at least those who don’t mind slower Amazon shipping.

Prime customers can now choose to save instantly on their order for selecting Free No-Rush Shipping.

In the past, Prime shoppers were rewarded with a promotional credit, usually a $1 digital credit, if they opted for a slower shipping speed. Often times, these credits expired before members had a chance to use them. Other times, the promotions didn’t align with shoppers’ future needs.

It seems as if this new option is still part of a pilot program and the discount is not offered on every item. You can see what the discount offer looks like on this Whirpool Dryer Power Cord page. You can immediately save $0.25 off your purchase for delaying your shipping speed.

It looks like you will not be able to pick between instant savings or a future credit just yet, though we hope that is something Amazon is working on for the future. Note that your discount will be removed if you cancel your No-Rush Shipping or change the shipping speed after purchase. Also, Subscribe & Save deals are not eligible for either the instant discount or promotional credit. Check out the full terms and conditions here.

I am a lifestyle and personal finance writer based in SoCal and have been a freelance writer since way before working remotely was the new norm. Being a wife and a mom to three young awesome kids, I have made it a regular habit to check out Slickdeals (even before joining the SD content team) to help fill up my pantry and gift closet for 50-70% off retail prices. As a family of five, we go through snacks, gifts, and toilet paper at an alarming rate, so I love a good deal and am also not afraid to dig through a thrift store to score incredible finds. When not writing about amazing deals to help people save and cool things on sale, I am taking care of my three girls, homeschooling, or stuck with my nose in a book. Sometimes, at the same time.
