Barter Week was first created in July 2008 and now more than 600 properties take part. Typically, these properties consider barters for the week before Thanksgiving, but some entertain barter offers all year long. For 2019, Barter Week takes place between November 18th – 24th, so you better start bartering now.
Available Properties During Barter Week
The Bed and Breakfast Borgo Ponte dell’Asse near Florence, Italy usually costs $113 per night. They are looking for lumberjack and gardening services. This charming bed and breakfast is less than a mile from an authentic Tuscan restaurant and less than seven minutes from the Porta Romana.
In Château-d’Oex, Switzerland, the Le Vieux Chalet B&B, normally $106 per night, is available for barter. Right now, the hosts are looking for someone with video production and drone footage skills. The area is best for outdoor adventures like rappelling and river rafting.
Finally, the Le Presbytère de Champcerie, which is a 10-bedroom guest house in Normandy France typically costs $1,065 per night to rent, but it also on the barter site. The guest house did not have any specific barter requests, so the host might be open for a variety of offers. The gorgeous home is less than 20 minutes from the Roche d’Oëtre which is considered one of the finest belvederes in western France.
