The beef between Burger King and McDonald's has always been juicy, but things are heating up like never before. As an unabashed jab at McDonald's, Burger King is now offering its signature Whopper for one cent to anyone who orders via its mobile app while near a McDonald's restaurant.

This is a savage deal, and not only because of the price. If you want to collect a practically-free Whopper, you're going to have to complete a pickup order on the app within 600 feet of a McDonald's restaurant.

How to Get a Burger King Whopper for (Almost) Free

  1. Download the Burger King mobile app
  2. Give the app permission to access your phone's location data
  3. Go to a McDonald's restaurant
  4. Activate the one-cent Whopper coupon in the BK mobile app
  5. Place your order for a Whopper within one hour of activating the coupon
  6. Prosper

There's a limit of one offer redemption per customer, and this deal will only be running from now until December 12th.

It may seem like a lot of work for a burger, but the one-cent Whopper is only part of the goodness. The other part is the enjoyment you'll get from participating in the on-going rivalry between Burger King and McDonald's.

Your move, McDonald's!
