Good things really do come in small packages. The Apeman NM4 Mini is quite powerful for its size and has a long lamp life of 45,000 hours. Even if you used it 10 hours a day, you’d still get 12 years of life out of it.

While it does have its own source of sound, you can also connect it to better speakers, too. One Amazon reviewer recommending simply connecting whatever device you are using to stream from (laptop, tablet, etc.) to an external speaker via Bluetooth.

High-end projectors can easily cost more than $1,000, but many of the more affordable options work just as well. The WiMiUS Newest P28 7000 Lumens LED Projector Native is currently $229, which is $470 less than retail price. Several reviewers say it works as well as the more expensive brands. Another highly rated projector for under $150 is the DR. J Professional HI-04 1080P.

The VIVOHOME screen inflates quickly and is huge, with options for a 17- and 20-foot screen, too. The screen can be used indoors or outdoors, but some reviewers complain that the blower used to inflate the screen can be noisy. However, if you have great speakers, it’s a good option for watching sports or your favorite comedy by the pool.

If you prefer a machine-free screen, the Mdbebbron 120 inch Projection Screen is less than $50 and has more than 1,700 five-star reviews. You will need to provide the PVC-pipe frame, though. The P-JING 150 Inch Projection Screen is another good choice for under $50.

Not only is the Fire TV Stick $10 off right now, but you will also get a free one-year subscription to Food Network Kitchen. Most streaming sticks, including the Fire TV Stick, allow you to connect your projector to your streaming media account quickly and seamlessly.

The Roku Streaming Stick+ is also $10.99 off for a limited time, making it $39. Apple TV is another highly-rated streaming device, but you will pay significantly more for it.

Apple TV HD retails for $149, while the 4K version is $30 more, and we rarely see them go on sale. However, if you’re fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem, it may be a good option. Reviewers also tend to note that it has a nicer interface than other options.

While many projectors come with built-in speakers, they might not be loud enough for you to enjoy your movie. That’s where additional speakers like the Polk Audio Atriums come in. Since you’ll be using speakers outside of the house, you should specifically look for outdoor speakers like these. They’re made to withstand extreme weather or splashes from the pool.

For decent speakers under $40, you can’t beat the Dual Electronics LU43PB 3-Way High Performance Outdoor Indoor Speakers. You can also add an amplifier for an additional $60 if you need something louder. A waterproof Bluetooth speaker like the JBL FLIP 4 is also a portable and affordable choice. Its price runs between $70 and $80 depending on the color.

I am a lifestyle and personal finance writer based in SoCal and have been a freelance writer since way before working remotely was the new norm. Being a wife and a mom to three young awesome kids, I have made it a regular habit to check out Slickdeals (even before joining the SD content team) to help fill up my pantry and gift closet for 50-70% off retail prices. As a family of five, we go through snacks, gifts, and toilet paper at an alarming rate, so I love a good deal and am also not afraid to dig through a thrift store to score incredible finds. When not writing about amazing deals to help people save and cool things on sale, I am taking care of my three girls, homeschooling, or stuck with my nose in a book. Sometimes, at the same time.
