In less than a year, Amazon has expanded its same-day delivery service to now cover 27 metro areas across the country. If you're a Prime member and live in any of these areas, you can receive your order by 9 p.m. if you order by noon and meet the $35 minimum order threshold.
Amazon's same-day delivery service launched in May last year but only included 14 metro areas. In October, they added two more, and last week they expanded their reach significantly by adding cities like Tucson, Charlotte, Cincinnati and Nashville.
Amazon Same-Day delivery is not the same as Prime Now, which guarantees delivery within two hours (or one hour if you pay $7.99) and has its own app.
The full list of new cities added are: Charlotte, Cincinnati, Fresno, Louisville, Milwaukee, Nashville, Raleigh, Richmond, Sacramento, Stockton and Tucson.
After Amazon recently increased their free shipping minimum for non-Prime members to $49, a lot of people expressed their disappointment with Amazon. Many were more inclined to stop using their services as opposed to being swayed to sign up for the $99 a year membership, which does come with a bunch of additional benefits. However, after significantly expanding their same-day delivery areas they might have won some people back.
Would same-day delivery be worth it to you to sign up for Amazon Prime?
