It's the most wonderful time of the year (until November 11th).

Starting today, fresh coffee from Starbucks is about to make some travelers’ lives a lot easier. Aside from the caffeine boost, Alaska Airlines passengers with a Starbucks holiday cup in-hand will receive priority boarding through Sunday, November 10th.

Those flying the airline get priority boarding simply by having a festive drink by their side, and it doesn’t stop there. Apparently, some customers will also find treats from Starbucks in their seats. However, when it comes to the cities of San Francisco, Atlanta and Minneapolis, be sure to ask for a holiday cup sleeve. Since those airports started opting for compostable cups, flight representatives are ready to accept the sleeves instead.

Before you get too excited, it’s important to know that just because a cup of joe places you in front of other passengers, doesn’t mean you’ll be at the very beginning of the line. Alaskan will still maintain the typical pre-boarding process — which includes families, customers with disabilities and active members of the military stepping onto the aircraft first.

Then, there’s the first-class cabin, elite members at the top of the loyalty program and guests with premium class seats. Therefore, the coffee drinkers will end up boarding in group five, which is still before the people sitting towards the back of the airplane.

While most agree that coffee is never a bad idea, it’s possible to guarantee an early boarding experience along with four inches of extra legroom for only a few dollars more than your Starbucks order. According to Alaska Airlines, you can upgrade your ticket to premium class — which has all of the amenities above — for as little as $15. But keep in mind, there isn’t always a premium class option on Alaska.

If you’re game, act fast and don’t forget to hit up a Starbucks before going up in the air.
