Dell recently teased the launch of its brand new Alienware X-Series gaming laptops to be released later this year, promising the thinnest gaming laptops it has ever made.
The new laptops will feature a quad-fan cooling design and use a gallium-silicone thermal interface material, which Dell says will allow for better heat dissipation and, in turn, a thinner design.
The X-Series was announced alongside brand new revisions of the Alienware m15 and Dell G15 laptops. Both of those revamps will introduce processor updates in the form of Intel’s new 11th Gen H-Series mobile processors.

A Focus on Cooling

While Dell has held off revealing much about the X-Series, it has shown off the enormous cooling system that will sit at the heart of its new X-Series of Alienware laptops via a teaser video. It features four fans that will shove large volumes of air through a sprawling array of copper heat pipes covering almost the entire underside of the chassis.
This improvement to cooling will help the new X-Series devices maintain a higher level of performance without overheating, while also allowing designers to cram its components into the “thinnest gaming laptops we’ve ever made”, according to Dell.
The X-Series laptops will feature a host of new patented designs, the company teased, and more will be unveiled during the Alienware Update Twitch Stream presentation on June 1st.

Intel 11th Gen CPUs Incoming

As noted above, Dell also revealed new revisions of the Alienware m15 and Dell G15 gaming laptops. These will be released in the summer of 2021 with updated CPUs sat alongside Nvidia’s powerful RTX 30-Series graphics.

While sticking with the same distinctive external design as previous models, the Alienware m15 R6 and new G15 laptops will pack Intel’s 11th-Gen H-Series CPUs, which promise improvements to multitasking and cooling. This comes after Dell launched the m15 Ryzen Edition earlier this year — the first AMD-based Alienware laptop in over 10 years.
At the premium end of the scale, the new Alienware m15 R6 will be configurable up to a Core i9 11900H — a fast 8-core CPU with clock speeds that boost up to 4.9GHz. Graphics options will range from the RTX 3050 Ti all the way up to the RTX 3080. Pricing starts at $1,299.99, scaling up significantly as you pick beefier components.

The more budget-friendly G15 will start at $949.99 in its leanest trim, with options up to a Core i7 six-core processor and a fast 165Hz display. It will also ship in four colors, and will arrive in the U.S. via Dell.com on June 3rd.
