Amazon Minions boxes

If you've received a package from Amazon in the past week, chances are it looked a bit different than what you're used to. For about a week, Amazon has been shipping boxes featuring advertisement for the new Minions movie -- part of the Despicable Me franchise -- set to open in theaters July 10.

The yellow boxes mark the first time Amazon has allowed advertising on their shipping boxes, and they didn't just dip their toes in to try it out, they went all out. The colorful box might be a bold move, but then again, who doesn't like Minions?

According to GeekWire, there are at least three different ads, all on different box sizes, so not all orders will arrive with the new look. If you buy something from this Minions page on Amazon, I'd say your chances are pretty high, though.

Have you received a Minions box in the past week? We just got one delivered to the Slickdeals office!
