No longer the brunt of lack of service, American Express cardholders stand to save with a little help from Amazon Prime. Slickdeals users found not one but two Amazon offers for American Express cardholders for combined savings of up to $50, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
All you need to take advantage of these Amazon deals for Amex cardholders is to link your card to your account through this link. If you’ve already associated your Amex with your Amazon account, you can skip that part. For those who haven’t added their Amex to their Amazon account in the past, please note your eligibility for these promotions may take a day or two to register.
Once you’re registered, all you need to do is apply at least one membership rewards (MR) point toward your order.
Save $30 on Orders of $60 or More
Half off your Amazon order? It’s easier than you think.
To start, head to this link to activate the promotion. (You will need to be logged into your account beforehand.) From there, start shopping until you get at least $60 worth of product in your cart. Note: Gift cards to third-party vendors like Gamestop or Jersey Mike’s can be purchased through this deal.
Anything will apply to this purchase, so long as it is sold and shipped by Amazon.
When you apply your Amex at checkout, apply however many points you wish to use to your order to receive the promotion.
This offer ends at 11:59 PM, 12/31/19, so no worries about not using it on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It can be used only once and is not available to those who have used MR points on Amazon in the past year; though some users claim the offer has worked for them more than once. According to users, digital products do not qualify for this deal.
Save $20 on Orders of $100 or More
The savings just keep coming, you lucky Amex holder!
Just like the offer above, once you’ve linked your Amex to your Amazon account, simply head to this page to activate the promotion. Then add at least $100 worth of product to your account, whether that includes a new Kindle or a Safeway gift card. Like before, at checkout, you’ll apply however many MR points you like to your order to receive the promotion.
Unlike the above offer, this deal expires at 11:59 PM, 12/2/19, so you may want to use this one first.
Ultimately, if you play your cards right, you stand to save $50, leaving you some extra funds as a reward for yourself for being such a smart shopper.
