Best Things to Buy in July
July is here and with Independence Day smack dab in the middle of the week, you may be wondering what sales to shop. We mined our deal archives to give you some insight. Here are our slick picks for July.
Amazon Prime Day was HUGE last year. While some will claim that the day doesn’t offer many great deals, our top 200 deals were from Amazon with the best deal being a $10 credit with a $50 gift card purchase for Prime members. A whopping 32,000 people jumped on this opportunity. Mark your calendar for July 11th for this year’s Prime Day.
Another great category for July is home essentials. This means stock up on toilet paper, detergent, hand soap, and diapers. We saw 4,000 orders of Charmin 24-pack of toilet paper for $17 and Mrs. Meyers liquid hand soap for only $4. Set those deal alerts now.
With the weather heating up, this means lots of outdoor sports and activity. It’s also a great time to stock up on sportswear and fitness items. Nike Factory offered a 30% discount, PUMA had their semi-annual sale with an extra 20% off and we saw over 8,000 sales for a CAP speed rope going for $1.25.
School’s out for summer and this means getting creative on entertaining the kids! Going to the movies can be expensive, but there are lots of digital entertainment deals you can score. Last year over 37,000 people wanted in on $5 and $6 HD movie rentals and another 5,000 jumped on the $1 Spectre rental.
School may be out for summer, but it’s also a good time to stock up on early back to school supplies. We saw lots of laptop deals in July last year with a $450 Lenovo Yoga from Best Buy that generated interest from 34,000 people and a MacBook Air for only $750 for students with a .edu email. This year, Best Buy is offering an HP Pavilion x360 for $524.99. Backpacks are usually at the top of most back-to-school shopping lists but we suggest waiting until August to pull the trigger.
