Each year, the world’s leading innovation and technology companies gather in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and showcase countless products aimed at making our lifestyles better, faster, and/or smarter.
And if you’ve ever visited the Frontpage of Slickdeals, you’ll know that technology is our most popular category. This also means that we have tons of historical data surrounding our community’s opinions on the best brands and models, as well as all-time low pricing, frequency of sales and most commonly offered discounts.
With this information in hand, we scurried across what felt like miles of convention space to see what Slickdeals’ favorite manufacturers had in store for the upcoming year.
Keep reading to learn about our CES 2019 Editor’s Choice products, which have been selected based on their features, value and potential for a significant discount in the near future.

Laptops & Personal Computing — CES 2019 Editor’s Choice
Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 Laptop
Available in 13- and 15-inch forms, Dell introduced the Inspiron 7000 for the 2019 model year, complete with 8th Gen Intel Core processors and a sleek aluminum body. To make sure you don’t lose the included pen, it now stores magnetically inside the hinge, and new intelligent sensing capabilities detect whether the Inspiron is on a table or on your lap. Based on its use location, the laptop will adjust performance accordingly to manage temperature levels — less heat while on your lap, and maximum performance while on a desk.
Start setting your Deal Alerts because the Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 laptop is expected to release in the middle of 2019.
Dell XPS 13 Laptop
Webcam placement has long been the biggest complaint from users of the XPS 13, and Dell has finally addressed the issue by moving it to the top of the screen (bye bye, nostril cam!) without affecting the InfinityEdge display. Now, it leaves virtually nothing for us to grumble about except its regular retail price. (We’re a deals site, after all!)
But unlike the stock market, past performance on Slickdeals is a great indicator of future performance, so expect significant price drops throughout the year. Dell’s XPS 13 will be available in February, starting at $899.99 on Dell.com, Microsoft.com and in limited quantities in select Microsoft Store locations.
ADATA SU750 SSD
ADATA’s solid-state drives make it to the Frontpage of Slickdeals on average of twice per week, and offer an unmatched dollar-per-GB value.
Starting in early 2019, you’ll be able to get even more performance for your money with the ADATA SU750 SSD, thanks to embedded DRAM cache which accelerates max read/write speeds to over half a Gigabyte per second.
We’ve seen 120GB ADATA SSDs sell for as low as $17.60, so set a Deal Alert if you’re in the market for an extra drive for movies and/or games. The SU750 SSD will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities.
Smart Home & Personal Accessories – CES 2019 Editor’s Choice
Google Assistant Interpreter Mode
With over 75 deals last year, the Google Home Mini made its way into the living rooms and kitchens of many Slickdeals users. But if you’re only using it to set timers and alarms, you’re totally doing it wrong.
In addition to managing your lights, thermostat, security cameras, and weird questions, Google Assistant can now offer live language interpretation on Google Home devices and Smart Displays. For example, just say, “Hey Google, be my [language] interpreter” to enter Interpreter Mode, and proceed to enjoy real-time spoken and/or written translations in dozens of languages.
Interpreter Mode will make its debut in the coming weeks on all of Google’s smart speakers as well as Google-powered Smart Displays, like the Google Home Hub.
Anker Soundcore “Wakey” Alarm Clock
For 2019, the company is bringing you multiple elements of its trusted performance in a single product, the Soundcore “Wakey” Alarm Clock. Featuring a wireless smartphone charger on top and a Soundcore Bluetooth speaker, the Wakey Alarm Clock is an excellent bedside device.
Although its design hasn’t been finalized yet, Wakey already boasts plenty of capabilities, like wireless fast charging, white noise mode, app control, and of course, all of the same technology and protection found in Anker’s other charging and sound products.
Televisions – CES 2019 Editor’s Choice
Samsung 8K QLED TV
Samsung’s TVs saw over 200 deals throughout 2018, and surprisingly, Slickdeals users showed affinity for the brand’s premium 75-inch and 82-inch QLED models. Proof that our community isn’t just about low prices!
During last year’s show, 8K TVs were one-off “Hey, look at me!” products. But this time around, Samsung is going mainstream with this incredible high-definition format, offering 8K QLED TVs ranging in sizes from 65 inches to an eye-popping 98 inches.
And while it’s not usually our style to award editor’s picks for “halo” products, what we’re actually excited about is the inevitable drop in prices for 4K QLED TVs as Samsung pushes to make 8K the new standard for televisions.
TCL 75-inch 6-Series 4K Roku TV
Known for offering some of the lowest prices on large 4K TVs, TCL’s 55-inch and 65-inch models dominated the Slickdeals forums in terms of 4K LED televisions.
For the upcoming year, TCL is continuing to solidify its reputation for offering accessible TVs by bringing its well-reviewed 6-Series 4K Roku TV into the 75-inch arena, challenging the space that has historically been dominated by Samsung and LG.
TCL’s 75-inch 6-Series will be sold exclusively at Best Buy, and will start shipping in the coming weeks. We’ve always believed in buying the largest TV you can afford, and considering TCL’s history of discounts on Slickdeals, accessing the world of over-sized TVs may be easier that we thought.
Gaming & Personal Audio – CES 2019 Editor’s Choice
Razer Raptor 27-inch Gaming Monitor
Razer is synonymous for premium construction and exciting design, and the brand’s mice and keyboards are most popular with Slickdeals users — they tend to sell out whenever a deal reaches the Frontpage.
And we expect a similar result when Razer’s first-ever gaming monitor, the Raptor, sees a significant price drop. It has all the right specs (WQHD IPS panel, thin bezels, 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR support, FreeSync), as well as Razer’s signature design elements and features.
The built-in cable management is a neat-freak’s dream come true, and the screen swivels back 90-degrees to allow easy access to all of the ports. Look for this monitor to arrive at retailers later this year.
Sony Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones (WH-1000X M3)
Although these headphones were released in late-2018, it still makes our list because of its unrivaled performance, sound quality, and comfort.
Now in its third generation, the 1000XM3 headphones are 20 grams lighter (which makes a noticeable difference in comfort) and feature USB-C charging — 10 minutes of charge provides 5 hours of play time. Total listening time is up to 30 hours on a full charge.
With 60+ deals posted by the Slickdeals community for Sony’s previous-generation 1000X headphones, they’re definitely a crowd favorite. In fact, the new 1000XM3 was on the Frontpage with a major discount just a few days ago.
