The G7, the premium laptop in the G Series line, has received a complete overhaul for 2020, with a brand new exterior design and all new processors for both the 15 and 17-inch models.

On the inside, 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs up to the Core i9 sit alongside high-end Nvidia graphics cards to boost performance both in and out of games. With an RTX 2070 Max-Q as the top option in the G7 15, and an RTX 2070 Super in the bigger G7 17, both models are equipped to handle gaming up to 4K, or at 1080p at ultra-high frame rates. And RTX means both support the latest rendering tricks like ray tracing and DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling).

This is all kept cool with active fan presets that can be instantly set to a dynamic performance mode via a ‘Game Shift’ macro key. Sound has also received a boost via Nahimic 3D Audio, which Dell says provides 360 degree audio, along with VoiceBoost and SoundTracker tech.

Meanwhile, on the outside, a complete redesign graces both G7 models with a slimmer chassis (some 4mm thinner than previous models), smaller screen bezels, and new RGB effects, including new chassis lighting and an optional four-zone customizable RGB keyboard.

The Dell G7 17 is available now, while the G7 15 will be released on June 29. Both models start at $1,429.99.

As you can see, the G5 Desktop gaming PC sports a whole new look, with a new edgy front facia and RGB lighting, and an optional clear window side panel to show off its flashy innards.

Those in question are new 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs, and graphics options from both Nvidia (up to RTX 2070 Super) and AMD (up to RX 5600), which will power through 1080p gaming or higher, and will make for a suitable VR-ready gaming PC.

VR enthusiasts in particular will like the range of ports on the front of the case, including three USB Type-A and one USB-C ports alongside headphone and microphone ports.

Four custom fan profiles and full system control via the Alienware Command Center will give you the tools to customise how the G5 runs under load, and the new chassis boasts toolless entry for easy tweaking when the time for upgrades should arise.

Look for the new G5 Desktop on the Dell store from July 9, with a starting price of $699.99.
