Hunt for Hatchimals at Target Next Week
With Christmas just a few weeks away, getting your hands on a Hatchimal — this year's hottest toy — is quickly becoming an impossible task. But there's still a glimmer of hope as Target stores across the nation will be restocking these interactive eggs starting on Sunday, December 11.
The official word from Target is that small quantities of Hatchimals will be popping up in store inventories throughout the week with an MSRP of $59.99, well under the asking price of opportunistic gougers at online marketplaces like eBay, Craigslist, or an oddly irrelevant personal charity fund.
So far, there's no indication that the new stock of colorful creatures will be sold at Target.com, so you might need to line up Black Friday-style to snag one (limit 2 per person). Don't be surprised if they disappear faster than the NES Classic Edition.
Hatchimals manufacturer Spin Master states on its website that increased production efforts will see a new batch of Penguala, Draggle, Burtle, Owlicorn, and Bearakeet eggs arriving at authorized retailers in early 2017, so if the hunt is too much to handle, you can give a Hatchimal-themed gift card and return after the new year to pick one out with civility. These themed gift cards will be available at Target starting December 11th.
