I like Ebillme, which is a great payment system with excellent promotions.

However, I tend to look right past opportunities to use it simply because I don't want to go through the mental effort to distinguish it from Billmelater, PayPal's scheme to lure people into buying things they can't afford and/or trap them into ungodly payment penalties through a single missed or late payment.

Could just be me being lazy, or Ebillme might have a good trademark infringement case. Seems like it might be a little of both. Given how Billmelater is jammed into the ebay payment process with pre-checked check boxes and other visual devices intended at least in part to try to get people to select it inadvertently, it's difficult to ascribe any honorable motives to them.

I'm not sure why this was voted down. I got this email today and think it is a great deal. I have always had good luck with eBillme. I will certainly take $20 off a $100 ssd from Tigerdirect.

A couple of important caveats:
If your cashback amount is less than $50, you can use your cashback as a vendor coupon. After reaching $50, you can request as a check. This may be better for people who plan on using cashback enough that they will reach the $50.

Also, there is a limit of $20 cb per purchase. So really this deal is best on purchases up to $100.

why r people not jizzing over this? $20/$100 at BUY and TD? heee-llo?

I got it last night too, and at first glace, I didn't see the usual "ONLY FOR FIRST TIME USERS". But then we've seen em change their stipulation at any time and since there's no cc: to help you out for dispute, I'd say it's not worth it unless you really are using it for first time.

Surprised this thread hasn't got more attention too. Getting 20% cashback from TD and Buy is the best I've seen since Bing. The Patriot Box office that is on the front page from newegg for 35.99 ends up being around $30 shipped after rebate and ebillme cashback from TD. XBox live 12month cards end up less than $35 after CB too. Maybe some people aren't sold on ebillme yet.

I just bought the standard DC23 an hour ago or else I would try this....but it might be worth a shot to go to Kohls.com to price match to ABT (might be a long shot), use coupon love2save15 for 15% off, sweet75 for free shipping. Would bring the price down to $340 plus tax. YMMV though.

But anyway, its a nice deal as it stands.

ABT also has the standard DC23 for $319! any possibility that Kohls will PM to $319 with coupon, etc??!? If so, that would be very very nice!

I already got the animal version since we have 2 cats at home and all wood floor, so we do need the two turbine heads and the hardwood floor tool :)

Sony STR-DN1010 7.1-Channel A/V Blu-Ray Receiver [3D Compatible], $298 on Amazon [must add to cart]

+1 3154 Views 4 Comments

On sale on Amazon for $298. Decent receiver but a good price none the less.

* 3D HDMI pass-through
* 7 HD video inputs (4 HDMI, 3 component)
* Upconvert/Upscale from analog to 1080p via HDMI

Nice reviews from the following sites (and $100 more expensive at them)

7 High-Definition Inputs with Audio Return Channel
Get versatile HD connection options with five HD inputs. Four HDMI inputs (up to 1080/24p capable) let you connect a Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment system, Blu-ray Disc player, or any other HDMI-capable devices, for high definition video and audio. Three component inputs (1080/60i capable) provide added HD-capable connectivity and versatility. Audio Return Channel eliminates the need for extra cables connected to your TV. This feature allows audio to be sent from your compatible TV to your receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio and video to your TV.

24p True Cinema Mode with Blu-ray Audio Decoding (LPCM)
Watch movies at their native frame rate 24p format (24 frames per second) when paired with a 24p playback device like a Blu-ray Disc Player or PlayStation 3 gaming console. And with Linear PCM support, when you connect via HDMI a Blu-ray Disc player that can decode the latest high definition audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio5 you can experience sound closer to the way it was captured.

HDMI Repeater with Pass-Through
Connect multiple devices via HDMI to your surround sound system, easily switch between them, and then connect everything to your HDTV with just one HDMI cable. Standby pass-through of audio and video conveniently access all your HDMI connected devices without having to power on the receiver.
The Sony STR-DN1010

S-AIR Wireless Surround Sound and Multi-Room Ready
The STR-DN1010 is S-AIR Wireless surround sound ready--share music in up to 10 rooms when you add S-AIR receiver/speaker systems (AIR-SA10) and a S-AIR Card (EZW-T100) to your S-AIR-capable receiver (each S-AIR Speaker System sold separately). Enable the system to deliver room-filling surround sound without the hassle of custom installation or running speaker wires across the room. It's the simplest way to break music free from your home theater room, to send it all over the house.

The demand for digital audio and video content continues to be strong. Sony's DIGITAL MEDIA PORT (DMP) interface is a proprietary interface that adds networking and connectivity options to your home theater system. Just connect optional accessories (sold separately) which provide the ability to control and power devices while making set up easy and operation simple to use. The DMP will be compatible with various accessories which will include a PC Client ready device, Bluetooth adapter and Audio Docking stations compatible with select Network Walkman and iPod products. Regardless of where you store your music.

BRAVIA Sync Compatible
Conveniently operate and control other BRAVIA Sync compatible devices--including BRAVIA HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc Players, surround sound systems, Handycam camcorders and Cyber-shot digital still cameras, all with one remote control.

Digital Cinema Auto Calibration

Nice deal, but mine crapped out a couple of weeks ago. Started buzzing like crazy and shutting down in "Protect" mode, even after all the cables unplugged.

I thought this was just mentioned at 275 or so over the weekend?

That aside, I jumped away from this receiver on the buy.com deal due to all of the negativity I saw when I read its thread @ avsforums. It really looks good from spec, and the price is good based on features, but I'd recommend to others to do some quick research and be sure that there are no issues with this unit that will impact you.

AVS STR-DN1010 thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1254925&highlight=dn1010)

Thanks. I have been looking at this unit and the Pioneer VSX-1020-K 7.1 unit..

LG IPS226V for $209.99 + $8.99 S/H @ Newegg - It's LED and IPS (Update - now $10 Cheaper)

+3 6070 Views 17 Comments

Looks like a brand new IPS panel from LG. It's priced at about the Dell U2211H when it's on sale. Major difference being that this one is also LED.

LG IPS Monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005230)

Since it's so new I was only able to find one review on it, but it did get 5 (out of 5) stars.

Review (http://www.digitalversus.com/lg-flatron-ips226v-p357_10200_35.html)

Comparison (http://www.digitalversus.com/lg-ips226v-vs-dell-u2211h-p974_10284_93.html)

Basically they said they're both great monitors but each one is slightly better depending on the task you're doing.

If you tot up the points, neither monitor takes a clear lead, but if you take into account what you want to do with them, it's clear that they're not equally suited for everybody.

Office work: both monitors share the same definition and diagonal size, meaning they're at the same resolution. The Dell has a portrait mode though, which is a real plus if you have to work with long texts.

Video games: the IPS226V is faster than the U2211H, and will be better for gamers.

Multimedia: because it's got an HDMI input, there's no reason not to connect the IPS226V to an IPTV system or a games console. Without this very popular connection, things are a lot more complicated on the U2211H. |

Photo editing: once you've set them up properly, the two monitors are equally suitable for retouching photos, but its higher contrast ratio tips the balance in favour of the LG IPS226V.

For us: we reckon the Dell U2211H is the best for us. We enjoy the USB hub which make it easy to plug in a USB key or a card reader. Portrait mode makes it easy to scroll through long web pages and text documents.

I realize that it's not REALLY on sale, but it was priced so nicely I just had to share. I'll actually be buying one for games and I do know a fair amount about monitors :)

p.s. I also own a Dell U2211H and have been very pleased with it, but I would like to see quicker response times.

EDIT: For some reason Newegg lists the Response Time as 8ms. I'm pretty sure this is just a mistake on their part as other sources list the spec as 6ms. And as kapster already mentioned, 3 other models are going to be released as well. Here (http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1283940705)are the specs and the additional models.

EDIT: This monitor is also available at Microcenter and Fry's for $199.99 for in-store pick-up only. You might also be able to get it for $199.99 shipped from here (http://www.abt.com/product/53116/LG-IPS226V.html) - It says pre-order but I was able to order so idk. That site is also very legit - it looked a little fishy at first but it checks out.

Thank you for the post. I remember reading about this one back in September. There is going to be a 23" version as well.

If you are considering doing any type of work on your monitor, I strongly suggest holding out for a 16:10 aspect ratio (1920x1200). It's more expensive in some cases and harder to find, but you will kiss the display every day!

I have an 24" LG:

LG L246WP-BN 24" LCD P-MVA Monitor Refurb (paid $189) Shipped at Overstock over a year ago and I LOVE IT.

It would be extremely difficult to return to 16:9 after using this...

While I agree with you. They aren't really making 16:10 monitors anymore are they?

Well... short answer is no, they arent. But plenty of people who used their monitors for work really prefer the 16:10

Man, the price looks OK, but the bezel on this thing is not my taste...

I looked at the 23" version of this LG at the Fry's store today. The panel looked very nice. The stand is not so great (it tilts a little - that's it).

259.99 is their regular price.

Googled but can't find engineering data sheet (i.e. white paper) on these new IPS 6 panels. I need to know if these are at least 8bit/channel panels. Otherwise, the 72% gamut (http://www.lg.com/hk/it-product/monitor/LG-IPS226V.jsp) on edge-lit IPS would appear kinda wash-out and I hate dithering. I'm hoping these are 10bit/channel S-IPS panels but it looks like LG mostly reserves them for selected TV lines.

This may be in the eye of the beholder. I run dual 24 (exact same monitors as the one you have) at home and dual 23in (Dell 23 Ultrasharp) at work and haven't noticed much of a difference.

Why is the regular price so cheap? Doesn't make a lot of sense

Since 21" LED monitors are regularly < $150 shipped, $220 shipped reasonable for an LED IPS equivalent, especially since the Dell is regularly this price.

I'm really surprised/disappointed that the LED backlight didn't make this monitor have noticeably lower power consumption than the Dell equivalent, but some searching indicated that 25W is normal for a 21" LED monitor.

Surprised the IPS231P is removing the HDMI port. They should have kept that AND added a Displayport port. That would make that the perfect monitor for me.

I went to best buy and grab this monitor with a buddy of mine for $250 + tax yesterday. It looked really nice at the store but we found light bleeding issues (which is typical for edge lit LED).

I need a good monitor and video/photo editing. deciding if i should get this LG or Dells Ultrasharp ips series. hmm..

Just thought I'd bump this since they lowered the price by $10.

Does anyone know the input lag of this monitor?

There are no problems with input lag either. It's definitely there, but it's so insignificant that your feeble human eyes won't be able to spot it. It won't have any impact on your next round of multi-player gaming. Review (http://www.digitalversus.com/lg-flatron-ips226v-p357_10200_35.html)

iPad 2 deals roundup: find your best store for tax, returns, and ETA availability

+50 158332 Views 546 Comments

I propose that besides cutting upwards of 10% off the price of an iPad2 for slickdealers who hadn't considered finding a tax-free option, simply finding a store that is simply shipping iPads without a month-long wait is "slick" to those who were going to buy anyway. Along those lines, I collected all the useful data I could on the subject(s). Please post your reported ETA/wait times in the wiki below!

Other possible savings
ABT Electronics is the only store I'm aware of that cooperates with eBillme. For those unfamiliar with eBillme, it should appear as one of the payment methods during checkout, but they actually email you a bill that you need to pay using your bank's online bill-pay functionality (or pay a $5 free to a walkin location). The kicker is that they offer 5% cashback all the time (for ABT -- more for most other stores) and often have 2x-cash-back days (both Tues and Thurs this week, for example) where you could get 10% cash-back -- BUT (as it was pointed out) the maximum per-order cashback is capped at only $20.

J&R has a facebook-related thing today (st patricks day) to get a $10-off-$150 coupon code. It didn't mention whether valid for phone orders or not, but it must be used by midnight, March 17th. (probably best to do the 5% cash back when it's back in stock online, but if you're antsy...) estacionsj reports CSR told him he couldn't use it for the iPad2. Kinda scheisty if you ask me, unless the terms (somewhere??) say so too.
(credit to estacionsj (https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=38097617&postcount=77))

Those buying JR in-store can probably get $25 back.

Those buying from AAFES should be able to save another 10% off as well when you sign up with a star card, I believe the 10% off applies to any purchases you make for the first day. (credit to Greatbam (https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=37998659&postcount=2))

If this post picks up anywhere near the traction of the original "no tax" iPad2 thread, and you are just a casual reader wondering how such a basic informational thread could have dozens or hundreds of posts. let me remind you the obligatory flow-chart for the vast majority of the SD community:

Is it an apple product?
--> Thumbs down! --> Bitch about price
--> Bitch about missing features #1 through #500
--> insult anyone who disagrees with you
(don't forget to use the word "sheep", or suggest sheep noises)

Community Wiki

Cashback NOT available for phone purchases so it basically will not work until the iPad is offered online for purchase.

shop in NH, any b&m, any online store, no tax anytime anywhere. stop complaining about sales tax.

AAFES, for any change or order like cancel, you must call them, is 24/7. But to return a item is very annoying you had to like fax them the RMA form with signature and you had to paid for shipping. Tracking is very inconest, not suprise you might get your ipad 2 and the statue haven't show shipped.

I love how the only tax-free option for NYers has no free shipping and no cash back...

Might as well pay tax and help out this cash-strapped state.

great, another tax free ipad thread.

How do you get cash back if you have to call in to order it?

Paying retail is never a good deal. Tax free does not make a slick deal. The JR discount you mention is not availble because no store has stock. Thumbs down.

Good luck not paying retail on this for atleast 6 months.

I've not seen so much to do about buying a product at full MSRP since the Wii.

good luck finding one for 6 months.

This is not related to ipad 2. i just bought an ipad 1 64gb from ebay $310. I was ignorant and hated apple product but i got it say that ipad is the most polish device i have use. True that the OS is outdated but once you click an app is so polish and smooth experience that nothing can compare to it. I really stopped using my laptop now for a week cause the ipad let me do everything that i was doing with my laptop. I would have bought it sooner and can't wait for ipad 3.

 Tell that to app developers raking in the cash because they were first to market.

It's the story of our lives.

Finding one at a B&M store is worth it for the sole reason of being able to flip it immediately for serious profit on Ebay. Then you can wait patiently for yours to arrive in the mail...

oooooooooooh snap!

I love these fibs and reverse pshycology techniques.

Thumbs up and repped for the effort. It will be appreciated by some.
I'm not buying an Ipad 2 anytime soon (dreaming of it though ;) ), but considering there are never "sales" on this stuff, I would take advantage of any savings I could find.

Mine was delivered today, I love it. iPad 1 was good but this is crazy.

Panasonic HDC-TM90K 3D Compatible Camcorder for $415.15 at ABT electronics by phone.YMMV

0 2383 Views 9 Comments

I was looking at buying a good camcorder for a few days for using around the house and kids. After researching a bit decided to get the Panasonic HDC-TM90K or the HDC-SD90 (the difference between the two is that the former has built in 16GB memory) because of the exceptionally good reviews. The price was hovering around $479.99 at amazon for quite some time. abt.co had it for $469.99 all that time. This morning the price at abt.com dropped to $437.00( The lowest ever I have seen for the HDC-TM90K). I signed up for their news letter by providing my email expecting a 5% discount for the first purchase (you can find the box for that at the bottom right corner of theri home page). I did receive the 5% code but there were lot of exclusions of which camcorders are one category. I called their customer service using the 1-800 number and spoke to a representative and asked for the 5% discount. He said that he will happily apply the discount. I went ahead and placed the order on phone and got the Panasonic HDC-TM90K for $415.15 (+ tax for IL, IN, WI ).

I think that is is a solid price atleast $50.00 less then any other reputed seller. Someone few days back posted a deal on the HDC-SD60 for $400.00, but if you add the tax this deal beats the costco deal and you get a camcorder with 16GB internal memory too. If you are someone like me looking for a camcorder in this price range....then this might interest you. Hope it helps someone.

PS: You have to call abt customer service for this deal. I got it with out any hassle so it should also work for others. The camcorder is back ordered on the website but the customer service rep said it will ship next week and took the order.

I did business with them earlier and was happy, because you gave the resellerratings, I checked the website and read the first few reviews, abt took time to address all of them, thats OK I guess, anyways your call, but they have been around for quite a while.

Isnt this one available for 399.99$ @ costco ??

Yes, and it is not really the best camera.

That costco price includes some extras I believe.

the costco one is HDC-SD90, without memory. This is TM90K with 16GB internal memory.

what reviews are you referring to? I decided on this after the user reviews for low light and image stabilization at amazon and other sites. May be you were looking for something else in a camera at that price point. Check the user reviews below at amazon

I bought a blu ray player from them, price was the best, and it shipped the same day and arrived in TX two days later. I was very happy with that.

How does this one compare to HDC-TM900K/HDC-SD800K?
I know that it's mainly 3MOS vs. single MOS. But still, how big a difference/improvement does that make?
BTW, Pansonic EPP has it for $390.

The new Canon's are the best low light performers. Depends on what you intend on shooting. I found that I shoot 50% indoors, so low light performance is the most important thing for me.

Pretty solid price, just wish it was LED.

Just for those who dont know, ABT is an EXTREMELY reputable home appliance retailer in the Chicago area. Been in business for a long time. So you should feel completely safe
ordering anything from them.

They are a high-end type retailer (super beautiful and expensive store(s)), so I typically dont find many deals there but this one is nice.

I agree, I bought a nice Sony Blu-Ray player at a great price from them, and I ordered it on a Monday morning and it was delivered to me in Texas on Wednesday with free shipping.

Ugg- ordered from ABT via Amazon while they still had them in stock... just got an email from ABT:

Greetings from Abt Electronics. We are e-mailing to inform you the order on the
Toshiba LCD model 55G310U was priced incorrectly on Amazon's web site. At this
time, your order has been cancelled and your account has been credited. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

What a crock since they were the same price on ABT! Must have oversold or have remorse over the low price. Of course now I have to cancel the SquareTrade warranty I bought too- grrrrrr

Incorrect price? It's not like $799 is so special. Best Buy had this same model on sale for $100 more not long ago.

Audioengine deal??? Any coupons on the resellers?

0 3219 Views 6 Comments

Okay, being somehow broke right now, I'm wondering if someone could help me with this. I've had my eyes set on the Audioengine A2's for my computer for a while now and I'm pretty ready to buy. The cheapest I've seen them go for is onecall on their website for $170 open box - $10 off coupon from their newsletter, which is $160. Brand new, they're $200.

If anyone know any coupons from any of these resellers, please let me know. I already tried retailmenot but no luck :(

Here's a list of resellers that have them(from the website)

Music Direct

Audio Advisor

J&R Music World and Computer World

B&H Photo, Video, & Pro Audio

HIDEF Lifestyle

Shoreline Music

Abt Electronics

Audioholics Store

Tweek Geek

PC Connection

Ram Electronics Industries, Inc.

Turntable Lab

Small Dog Electronics

Dedicated Audio

Butterfly Photo

Needle Doctor

Triplet Audio

I am wanting a second pair of A2's for an additional computer. I've been waiting for the refurbs to come back in stock on Audioengineusa.com. $159 - $15.90 (coupon) = $143.10

Ooh nice deal^ I'll wait for that as well.

Back in stock --- unfortunately --- tried three 10% off coupons without success:mad:

:[ I bought HD25-1's instead >

Audioengine's refurbs come with the same 3 year warranty, so I personally have no problem buying. Just stinks that I can't get them cheaper.

^I know what u mean, I'd love to have these babies already :(

Also be sure to check with your local energy company for additional rebates, such as haul-away rebates.

I've been shopping for a 33" (or smaller) french door refrigerator with ice and water through the door for a couple weeks now and finally found a decent deal. At least I hope so! The reviews seem pretty good considering almost every refrigerator (especially ones with icemakers) has some negative reviews.

Hope this helps someone else!

thanks for the info. I am looking for 33 inch french door myself as well. but this particular fridge seems to be a bit too small, especially when considering the space that the icemaker occupies.

Agreed the icemaker configuration is not ideal but the only 33" fridges I have found with in-door icemakers start at $2k. In my case only 1 or 2 people would be using it so the capacity should be plenty for me.

One thing I should mention is that I was looking for 70+inches tripod as I am pretty tall (5'11"). This tripod goes upto ~66in with center column extended. I somehow felt comfortable with its height. At max, the camera viewfinder will almost be at my eye-level or an inch/1.5inch below, which I am okay with.

Frys in-store this weekend for $30 for this tripod. Just picked up 1

I think I played with this tripod in BestBuy and it could just be the demo unit, but it seems pretty cheap a loose. I think $30 is about right if it didn't have Manfrotto brand label on it. If you have to go cheap on tripod, at least go with Dolica. Of course, if you're just using tripod with light P&S, mirrorless and entry DSLRs mostly taking casual pics in nice weather (no wind), any cheap tripod will do the trick for occasional usage.

Here the link to the one at frys for anyone thats interested

Samsung 4k 65" UN65HU8550 @Dell $2,297.99-Can be @ $1546.76 with Discover price match

+1 9389 Views 15 Comments

I have been looking at this TV, since I may not get the Samsung Plasma now, as they all are gone. I had been doing the calculations so here is what I came up with.

Dell - http://accessories.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A7613425

Tiger Direct - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8910266&CatId=8893

ABT- http://www.abt.com/product/78262/Samsung-UN65HU8550.html

Adorama- http://www.adorama.com/SSGUN65U8550.html (currently OOS, but they are still taking orders)

Discover will not take tax into consideration, when calculating cash back as well as price match.

Tax in my State @6.35% of $2297=$145.86
Price After Tax = $2297 + $145.86 = $2,442.86
Shop Discover @10% of $2297 = $229.70
Discover Online @5% but limited to $75 = $75
EastCoastTVs Price = $1,820.45 (After their coupons in cart)
Price Match = $2297-$1,820.45 = $476.55
Dell Advantage @5% of $2297 = $114.85

Price after all discounts: $2,442.86 - $229.70 - $75 - $114.85 - $476.55 = $1546.76

Please note: If you call Dell, they might give you a quote for little less, they sent me a quote with $100 off, but it does not matter because at the end you will be between $1500 and $1600, unless you find it cheaper than $1820.45 somewhere else.

Tax in my State @0% of $2297=0
Price After Tax = $2297 + $145.86 = $2297
Shop Discover @5% of $2297 = $114.85
Discover Online @5% but limited to $75 = $75
EastCoastTVs Price = $1,820.45 (After their coupons in cart)
Price Match = $2297-$1,820.45 = $476.55

Price after all discounts: $2,297 - $114.85 - $75 - $476.55 = $1630.60

Note: Abt will give you extra off anywhere between $150-$200, it will change the calculations, but you will be taking less risk afterwards.

Tax in my State @0% of $2297=0
Price After Tax = $2297 + $145.86 = $2297
Fatwallet/urlhasbeenblocked @1% of $2297 = $22.97 (there may many others, I only wanted to consider better ones)
Discover Online @5% but limited to $75 = $75
EastCoastTVs Price = $1,820.45 (After their coupons in cart)
Price Match = $2297-$1,820.45 = $476.55
Adorama 6% of $2297 for later use = $137.82

Price after all discounts: $2,297 - $22.97 - $75 - $476.55 - $137.82 = $1,584.66

Note: I have a good luck with Adorama also, they always offer better price if you call, same funda here, that you will be taking less risk later.

I tried to put as much detail as I could. If you want to PM me, I can tell whom I spoke to from ABT and Adorama.

it's not really 4K or something like that! wait for 2015 models or go 1080P for now!!!

I completely understand, but when you are getting 1080p for about $1499 or little bit less, then for couple hundred more you can get this one.

Did ABT and Adorama b oth price match East Coast tv?

No, but they will reduce the price by some amount. Truly speaking I did not try that, all I asked is that I have BB coupon for 10% what is the best offer they can give me, Adorama said that I should call them after 11/23. But ABT (He told me that I can not use that 10% on this TV, even in BB), but still gave me an offer for $200 off.

Which reseller did you end up buying from? Have you tried to price match via discover yet? If you do call to get a better price, won't that invalidate the discover online 5% cash back and the shop discover or fat wallet?

How did you get the coupons on EastCoastTVs ? I cannot bring the price down to $1820. Can you please share the coupons ?
Also, are you sure you can avail discover 10% and discover online 5% at the same time ?

Yes, I am sure that you can have 10% and 5% at the same time. But the EastCoastTV's coupon price changed today, until yesterday they were showing 2 $ off in green color, today they are only showing one.

Also these companies like eastcoasttvs, niceelectronics, abesofmaine etc change their price every now and then. If I were you, and need this TV and around $2000 is okay price, then I would buy it and quickly capture the screenshots of current lowest price on internet along with the today's date and time, because according to my understanding Discover would need to know that the screen capture was after you placed an order.

65 is where you will start seeing the benefit of 4k if you are within about 8 feet or less, I would have to be about 6 foot or less from the 60 vizio I bought for me to really see much benefit. I am going to return it because 4k really is quite useless unless you are using it for a monitor, I really don't have the desire to be that close to a set. I am going back to a plasma for 1/3rd the cost with better black levels and motion.

how can you do price match online..?
dont you need to place your order via link from shop discover to get the shop discover discount..?

Roof Man

Just ordered the 55" from EastCoastTVs their BFriday sale was:
1319 - 41.08 (codes: cashback & paycheck) + no tax = 1277.92

Thats the best I could do without a Discover card etc. Not bad though! Most places online have this 55" TV at $1500 give/take a few dollars.

I was going going for the Samsung PN60F8500 plasma but ... couldn't find it NEW anywhere! Only found 1 as a display model, missing the stand, and no discount on pricing. It would have been $1500 + 180 (5yr warranty, good deal on that!) + taxes = 1818. So... saved about 540 and getting a newer set. Yes wanted the plasma, but too many questions about the display model they had, even without seeing how many hours it had on it or tested it for any ghosting issues. :(

ask_j, where did you end up buying from?

ask_j, where did you end up buying from?

EastCoastTVs Price = $1,820.45 (After their coupons in cart)

which coupon did you use?

I had two TVs ordered, both from ABT, one plasma and one this one. Currently the plasma got shipped, it was back ordered that is why I had two TVs ordered. Now this one is on hold until I get the plasma, if there is any issue with plasma, then I will get this one.

Also for these other vendors the price change every day, so when I checked the price was different and now it is different.

can someone please explain how this calculation works? I mean do you price match at dell or Adorama or with Discover card?

Ha, if someone can explain this price match (honestly I did read) I'll buy this right now for $1500. It would be most appreciated.

Klipsch RF-52II Reference Floorstanding Speakers $189.05 Each plus S+H from ABT Electronics

+3 1585 Views 2 Comments

Very first deal post so be easy on me. I'm surprised nobody had posted yet.

Abt electronics has the Klipsch RF-52II Reference Floorstanding Speakers on sale for $199 each. Promo code HOLIDAY2014 (5% off your order) takes them down to $189.05 each. They do however charge for shipping. Total charge for shipping to my zip code was $50.17 so YMMV on that. But even with shipping the total came out to $428.17 for the pair. Next best price I was able to find from an authorized dealer is $299 each with free shipping.

This is a great price from an authorized Klipsch Dealer! :worship:

Your favorite cashback website will make this deal even slicker.

Sale: $199.00

Shipping: $50.17 shipped to Texas so YMMV
Total: $428.17

Personally, I just went down to Fry's electronics and got them to price match without adding the Abt shipping charge. The manager had no problem doing so. Even so, because of the added sales tax from Fry's I would have came out better with the Abt deal but returning would have been a hassle.

Good luck, and please add any info I might be missing or delete if this is a repost.

Seems to be a really good price on these Klipsch RF-52II.... No tax and $30 shipping for me for 2 speakers after the 5% total discount....

I was kinda mad i missed this deal. I had 2 in my cart at amazon and they changed the prices to 299 each. .

Yes this is a 2015 model that's set to release in May of 2015.

Try Live Chat and ask for further discount, they gave me and another user $100 off the price. They will then call you to complete the order over the phone, so no cashback portal with that method. -outie

Thanks been waiting for this tv to release.

I ordered mine yesterday and it shipped this afternoon.

Amazon wants alot more for it and not shipping to the 8th.

this is new version? thx

how does this compare to the samsung 7150?

Does this tv have the dim edges like the b version had?

yes the is the latest 1080p MODEL BY SONY. Amazon is still in pre orders only

From what I have read this TV compares better to the 8 and 9 series samsungs

Not sure yet as it is still in transit to my place and I could not find any reviews yet.

If BB would PM, and apply for 10% Mover coupon it would be great. Not sure if the 10% applies to SONY item

"Stream PS3 Games Directly To Your TV".

Lol, I'm sure this means something more than it sounds but it sure reads funny. :)

No clue where you read this. The 8 and 9 series in this line are curved, 9 would be 4k. The 7150 is half the thickness of this tv.

Also the 7150 is 240hz, twice this tv.

Not sure what's funny about this? TV comes with Playstation Now service where you can "stream" yes stream games from Sony server. It's been available on PS4.

I was going to buy it but my wife decided to give live chat a try for further discount. They gave her another $100 off but it was a phone order, so no cashback portal. But $100 off is still better.

I don't think they pm Abt, but they are an authorized dealer so you can make a case.

no coupons can be used after price match.

They do PM abt.com

Canon EOS 80D + 18-135MM USM + Canon PRO-100 + 13x19 paper - $1149 after rebates, cash back, and price protection

--6 3004 Views 11 Comments

Ok, just a disclaimer, this deal has a few steps but it's worth it if you want a high-end camera at a great price. It also requires a Discover or Citi card with price protection (https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/help-center/faqs/price-protection.html). As an added bonus, if you have a Discover card, you also get an extra year of warranty on your gear and since you are buying from an authorized dealer, that's 2 years of coverage on your camera, lens, and printer.

STEP 1: Buy a Canon camera bundle through an authorized dealer via cash back site. The example below is what I bought going through a cb partner with 4%.
Canon EOS 80D with 18-135 lens
Authorized Retailer (ABT Electronics): $1599
Cash Back (4% via Mr. Rebates): $1599 * .04 = ($63.96)
CAMERA/LENS KIT TOTAL: $1599 - $63.96 = $1,535.04

Step 2: After purchasing, file a price protection claim with your CC company to get the lowest internet price.
Discover Price Protection (Malibu Camera) : $1599-$1179 = ($420)
CAMERA/LENS KIT TOTAL: $1535.04 - $420 = $1,115.04

Step 3: Buy Canon PRO-100 printer through another (or same) authorized dealer. This can be done on the same transaction as #1 but I kept it separate to avoid any surprises/confusion on the price protection claim in step 2.
Authorized Dealer (Adorama): $379.99
Cash Back (10% MyCashBack): ($37.99) *
PRINTER TOTAL: $380 - $38 = $342
* Note: I have not used this cash back site and they seem sketchy out of Singapore. You can also use a USA-based cash back site for 1-3% back (which would bump the price up by about $30).

Step 4: Once you get all items, print and submit Canon printer bundle rebate.
Canon Bundle Rebate: ($350.00)
PRINTER TOTAL: $342 - $350 = -$8

So at the end of the day, you have a package worth $2000+ from authorized dealers with a full 2-year warranty at about 50% off MSRP. You can customize your package to fit your need. I also suggest picking up the nifty fifty (50mm f1.8 STM) lens to go with this or any entry to mid-level Canon DSLR. I got the Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1143786-REG/canon_0570c002_ef_50mm_f_1_8_stm.html) (which is highly-regarded prime lens by many photo enthusiasts) for $125.

Good job, but I do not have time. Not worth the work

I won't take it into consideration

This will not work. The printer, camera and paper must all be on the same invoice from the same retailer and all broken up with prices.

Does a credit card price match an authorized dealer to a grey market dealer? This is great if they do I never tried.

In for this answer too.

This is hugely YMMV.

That's not true. Read the details on the Canon rebate form. They must be purchased from a participating Authorized Canon Dealer on the same day. I also called the Canon rebate line to confirm 100% since that's $350 on the line for me :)

"A legible copy of your sales receipt(s) from a participating Authorized Canon Dealer, showing the purchase of new eligible Canon product(s), with the date of purchase and the purchase price(s) circled, and the name of the participating Authorized Canon Dealer clearly legible. (Receipt(s) for eligible products purchased under one of the Combination Offers must show that the products were purchased on the same calendar day and must contain same Billing Information)."

I have not completed the price protection for the camera, but I did do one for a Samsung TV recently and it went smoothly. Also, many people on AVSForum (http://www.avsforum.com/forum/gtsearch.php?cx=partner-pub-7865546952023728%3A4039054045&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&q=discover+price+protection&sa=Search&siteurl=www.avsforum.com%2Fforum%2Findex.php&ref=www.avsforum.com%2F&ss=1951j1241547j7) reported success with TVs, audio equipment, and other gear from authorized to non-authorized dealers. As long as it's the same product (eg: pricing a camera bundle to a camera only) and as long as you put the full amount on the card with the price protection, you should be fine.

The Canon rebates are 100% reliable as long as you follow the instructions. The price protection has been done by 1000s of people and I did one on a TV not too long ago and it went through. Cashback is somewhat YMMV, but I already have the biggest one (4% for Mr. Rebates) showing up in my clickthroughs and I've gotten paid by them and ebat3s before. The only thing that's YMMV to me is MyCashBack since they're based out of Singapore and have so-so reviews on cashbackaholic. But even taking that out, the deal is still under $1200 and from a reputable authorized Canon dealer additional warranty coverage for free.

Okay! Then just move along

Thanks (I guess). It's a 1 page rebate form for Canon and some screenshots for the Discover/Chase price protection. The rest is just navigating and clicking through a CB SITE. I'm not sure how much you make, it's worth the savings for me.

I was debating the Canon rebate part at first since that requires putting an extra $379.99 upfront for a printer that many people flip for $100-$200. The flipping is more time-consuming and a hassle than the Canon rebate and Discover price protection to me. I'm still debating whether I'll try to flip the printer at ~$150 (bringing the total down to $1000 for the camera/lens) or just keep it for prints and buy off-brand cartridges (the genuine Canon 8-cartridge ink packs are $124 (https://www.amazon.com/Canon-CLI-42-PK-Value-Pack/dp/B00ALMJT04/))!

Ok, so I wanted to provide an update for all the doubters/haters out there that this deal is "highly YMMV" or "not reproducible" :) :

1. My $478.95 Discover Price Protection claim is now Approved against Malibu Camera (they actually had a 5% "election" discount on top of the price posted in the original post). I did the whole claim online with no manual forms (easier/faster than the canon rebate).
2. My 4% cashback ($63.96) is recorded and pending.
Price of camera + 18-135mm lens:
$1599 - $478.95 Discover PP - $63.96 CB = $1056.09

3. I also got the Canon PRO-100 printer bundle at $379.99. I took a risk with 10% cash back vs a 1-2% from a more reliable cash back site. I sold the printer & photo paper locally for $150. Assuming the 10% cash back does NOT come through but the Canon rebate does:
$380 - $350 Canon rebate - $150 selling printer/paper = -($120.00)

So my final cost for the EOS 80D + 18-135mm lens ($1599 retail right now), is $936.09 ($1120.05 - $120.00 net profit off the printer). This could go down to $898 if the 10% printer cash back comes through.. Again, this is from an authorized dealer with full warranty + 1 extra year warranty through Discover.

See screenshots attached for the Discover PP.

NOTE: As of 11/15/2016, the price of the camera/lens kit is now $1149 - 5% coupon = $1,091.55 (see last attachment), so you can essentially max out the Discover PP at $500 right now ($1599 - $1091.55 = $507.45). This would put your net cost $21 lower than mine!
Please note when submitting PP, you need a DATED advertisement (do not attempt to use the last attachment). You can either do this by going to checkout and printing to PDF (which has the date on top) or taking a screenshot with the date in the taskbar. I did both just in case so they have no doubts.

So the MSRP just went down by $200 ($1599 to $1399). I called ABT and they refunded me back the difference. Final price for Canon 80D + 18-135mm is $736.09!! :D

Disclaimer: Can't replicate the price unless you took advantage of the deal before the price went down.

UPDATE: Just got my $478.95 check from Discover and $200 credit from ABT for the price drop to $1399. Canon $350 rebate and cash back are pending.

Just an FYI Malibu Camera is a scam/phishing website with extensive consumer complaints. Be careful SDer's

Pioneer AVH-4201NEX 7"Multi-media Receiver with ND-BC8 Rear-View Camera for $509-$25-$100 rebate + no tax + FS via ABT Electronics (YMMV)

+7 4017 Views 11 Comments

Was looking at the recent Pioneer AVH-4200NEX on this thread for $360 after rebate (but anyone living in CA you have to also pay tax which should push it to almost $400).

https://slickdeals.net/f/10323624-pioneer-avh-4200nex-7-motorized-touchscreen-dvd-receiver-360-after-100-rebate-free-s-h (https://slickdeals.net/f/10323624-pioneer-avh-4200nex-7-motorized-touchscreen-dvd-receiver-360-after-100-rebate-free-s-h)

Missed the deal but I kept searching and couldn't find a similar deal from an authorized Pioneer dealer to qualify for the rebate, but found similar deal for the newer Pioneer AVH-4201NEX. Main difference is the 4201 comes with a back up camera.

Anyway, ABT Electronics had it on sale for $509. I chatted with the rep online to also inquire about the older 4200 which he said they don't have any, but said they only have the 4201 and it was on sale for $509. Plus if I wanted to buy it now he would give me an additional $25 off. (You can also get the $25 off by signing up for email promo notification)

Anyway, final price would be $384 no tax and free shipping after sale price, $25 off and $100 mail in rebate. YMMV depending on where you live and if you get taxed and if you get the $25 off whether though chat or signing up for email.

Not a bad deal if you're in the market for a great stereo unit. In order to see sale price you have to add it to your cart. Good luck!

Pioneer 4201 info:

Great find. I've been eyeing this unit but I did not like the expensive Newegg deals with lame egift cards and tax

If you want the $25 off use chat and ask for Aaron Jones. He is he mobile specialist and he said he would honor the $25 for others too. Good luck!

Just placed the order. I made sure to sign up and use the $25 off. Sweet find. Thanks so much!

Thanks was waiting for it to be on sale.
BTW, price went up to $519 now.

Great deal --- price also $519 now.

dont forget to get some cash back ...there is 6% out there

Better deal here at newegg:
Comes with the AVH-4200NEX unit plus backup cam
Also includes a $250 Gift Card for Newegg
Plus you can get the $100 Mail in Rebate for the unit. Sold by Drive In Autosound and Newegg. Both are authorized pioneer retailers.
Plus Extra 5% off with promo code NEWEGGAUTO23,

Total Price at checkout
$660.25 (no tax)
- $250 Newegg Gift Card
- $100 Manufacture MIR
Total after discounts - $310.25

greedy ABT moved price up to 695.00Total

The headunit is now down to 495$ but ABT is no longer offering 25$ for signing up to its newsletter. However shopping through Discover with 5% cash back takes about 25$ off. The Pioneer 100$ rebate is still applicable as well so the total, if your are not in a state where sales tax is applied, should be around 370$ after cash back and rebate.

Edit: Created new thread to increase visibility here (https://slickdeals.net/f/10487636-pioneer-avh-4201nex-7-headunit-with-nd-bc8-backup-camera-for-370-no-tax-for-most-fs-from-abt-electronics-ymmv).

There may be shipping costs depending on where you live ($18 for the Xtreme to ship to Los Angeles), but even with shipping, the price is still the lowest I've seen for brand new ones of these highly-rated speakers.

The rub is you have to chat/call to get the $148/$179 prices. The numbers to call are 847-967-8830 or 847-544-2608 (or you can chat with a rep through the Abt website). Check out the flyer under "Portable Speakers" and "Headphones" for the advertised prices.

Can you try again?

I have no idea why anyone would thumbs down this post. This is a smoking hot deal on the JBL Xtreme speaker. I've been eyeing this thing for months now and this is the lowest I've ever seen it. Just ordered 1 (took 10 mins on phone with customer service) and got it for $148 shipped and no tax to NY. Thanks OP! Repped.

Frankly, I was expecting people to jump on the Xtreme as it truly is the lowest price I’ve ever seen for it (previous lowest was for about $177 at Fry’s but that was in-store only and not tax-free) and Abt is a very reputable merchant. People were all over the UE Megabooms from BB a few weeks ago for $5 less (turned out to be used speakers) and the Xtreme is superior to those speakers.

I guess people just don’t want to deal with the inconvenience of having to call to place the order.

I was gonna buy the Charge 3 but for this price I'll snatch the Xtreme! Thanks!

Can you price match with target or best buy with this?

Looks like you have to be a previous customer to get the deal as it is a "Customer Appreciation Promotion"

UPDATE: They will ask you your address after trying to find out if you were a previous customer and then you can get the $148 deal on the JBL.

I was waiting for BF to hopefully get a deal on the JBL Xtreme but it came early.

Nope, you don't have to be a previous customer. You just call and ask for the discounted price. It is not linked in any way to your account with them (if you have one to start with). There are no unique promo codes or coupons involved. You just call and ask. I've never bought anything from them before and I was able to get the promo price.

Do you also think that Friends and Family events are only for people who are friends or family with the store employees? :shake:

How'd you get free shipping, quoted me $15?

This is an excellent price. I bought my JBL Xtreme at Fry's for $170 and I thought that was a great deal.

May try this out

Will sleep on it. But try in morning.

Tax Free- not in Illinois

IS the Xtreme, the big ass one? lol

Anyone own this?

Just to let every one knows you MAY need to buy 3 other items to work, a $130 idatalink Maestro RR adapter, a dash kit and a $20 harness in my case, a back up camera plus installation.

In for one, thanks OP. I ordered this from Amazon about 3 hours ago for $90 more. That one cancelled and this order placed.

Now I just gotta decide which wire harness to go with...in researching for my 2010 Toyota Camry w/o Nav w/ JBL, it looks like Idatalink Maestro RR is probably the *best* way to go, but is about $170 for the harness+the maestro itself. PAC makes a harness that looks like it will work at $85 but has less stellar reviews. I'm also going to pick up a reverse cam, the adapter to let me use factory USB port, and of course the dash kit.

Try to get the idatalink ~100 on ebay and get separate harness for ~30-40.

Hey guys! I do not understand anything about replacement interface. I was just looking for a descent unit that can play media and has Apple CarPlay. I may not be using all the features that this unit has to offer. Is it still worth it? Will it work without idatalink?

look at crutchfield...they have a thing that will list different sets of equipment you would need to install in your specific vehicle and which features each set of equipment would allow you to retain...just don't buy from them as their install gear is expensive...especially if you aren't buying the head unit from them.

Depending on your vehicle, if you are not worried about things like retaining steering wheel controls etc, you may be able to get away without spending more than $50 on install gear. Possibly as low as ~$30.

I want to retain all of the steering wheel controls, the factory Sirius XM tuner, the factory USB port, add a backup camera, etc. My install gear is going to run around $170 it is looking like right now. That is for idatalink+wiring harness, reverse camera, dash kit, usb harness

For some reason I had missed the $100 maestro's on ebay. I am looking at them now. Thanks for making me look closer. That's probably the route I'm going to go. I planned on sleeping, then this notification popped and now I've been up for another 90 minutes, lol.

Crap misread

Thanks a lot for all the info man!

All ordered. $400 almost on the nose for everything using an idatalink setup. 24 hours ago I expected to spend that just on the head unit. Thanks again KhaB and tDames.

They have a 50$ off 500 promo on abt this weekend. I used it on a window ac heat pump unit.

Sorry for waking you up. I got mine from amazon for $99 half year ago, it is now $121. This one is $99 on ebay but I am not sure about the seller. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F301912159427

edit: this sonicelectronix is actually a good seller. I bought some of the harness from them. They have good CS. if you worry about return shipping fee, use paypal!

I installed this on my 2011 prius 1 month ago. I bought from crutchfield, with pac rp4.2-ty11, dash kit, xm radio, etc. costed me $600 total. I installed myself. This 7704s is great. Android auto worked great, it can connect to two phones at same time through bluetooth.
Need to mention 2 things. First is about the 2 usb extention cables come with the unit, they can’t provide charge more than 500mA. I bought a flush extention port from amazon, now my samsung phone can show rapid charge status on kenwood screen. 2nd is about backup camera, the warning screen during start up sometime will interrupt the camera screen, annoying.

If this had DVD I'd buy it. Anything similar spec wise that has DVD that is on sale?

I ended up picking up the maestro unit and appropriate harness along with my dash kit from that seller. Grabbed a reverse camera and USB harness from Amazon sellers. $400.65 all told so far, just gotta get some wire butt connectors or something yet and some zip ties.

Yesterday I expected to spend that much just on a decent head unit alone, so I'm good with that, haha.

Thanks again for the heads up

Any recommendations for a rear backup camera to connect to this? Lots of aftermarket to choose from, but not sure which one to trust.

How It Works

The microprocessor carefully runs lab-tested algorithms to control the time, cooking pressure and temperature to ensure consistent cooking results. Users can customize these settings to control pressure level, adjust cooking time and a cancel button, allowing one to achieve their preferred cooking results. For instance, the “meat/stew” key is programmed to prepare perfectly tender, thoroughly heated meat dishes; however, users can attain fall-off-the-bone results by adjusting the cooking time.
The fully sealed environment traps the flavors, nutrients, and aromas of the food instead of releasing them throughout the home. During pressure-cooking, heat is distributed evenly, deeply and quickly once pressure is built. In addition, minimal water is required for steaming so vitamins and minerals are not leached or dissolved. As a result, greens retain their bright colors and phytonutrients, meats and bones are thoroughly cooked yet tender, and whole grains and beans are soft and delicious, all with remarkable consistency.
Designed to cater to varying tastes and food conditions, Ultra has adjustable settings to achieve one’s desired cooking results; 3 temperatures in ‘Sauté’ for searing, simmering or thickening for a maximum time of 30 minutes, and 3 temperatures in ‘Slow Cook’ to complete the tasks of a common slow cooker, ‘Keep Warm’, and 3 temperatures in ‘Warm’ to preheat food.
The 24-hour delay start allows users to postpone the cooking start to have dinner ready when you are. Automatic ‘Keep Warm’ holds the temperature of the meal until you are ready to serve. With the Ultra, one can easily turn the ‘Keep Warm’ function ON/OFF.

Instant Pot® has been carefully designed to eliminate many common errors which may cause harm. It has passed stringent UL & ULC certification giving one uncompromised safety. Instant Pot® Ultra has been designed with 11 safety mechanisms and patented technologies.

It's been down to $99 twice in the past 6 months, and $119 a couple times also in the past 2 months.

This is a decent deal if you really really need one right away, but not a steal.

I only found 2 deals for $119 for 8qt Ultra, in a search of slick deals. $99 was the 6 qt.

$99 is the 6qt not the 8qt
