An easy starting point for deal hunters is over in the Sale section. Book Outlet always has some titles on clearance, and you can narrow your search if you want clearance items or regular markdowns. The exact amount of money you can save varies, but this section boasts huge online discounts. Often, you can save as much as 95% on select titles. The books in this section vary in genre, you might find anything from speculative fiction novels to children’s books. Items in this section are always changing, so be sure to check in regularly for new discounted titles.
Book Outlet Coupon Policy
Before you load up your cart with rare and intriguing titles, make sure you are familiar with the coupon policy. Book Outlet does not have stackable coupons—you can only use one discount code per transaction. Coupon codes might not work on some items that are on sale or part of a special promotion. If your online coupon has a spending minimum, the cost of taxes, shipping and handling do not count towards the total.
Book Outlet Email Program
When you sign up for Book Outlet's Bargain Bulletin Newsletter, you will be the first to hear about upcoming book releases, Book Outlet coupons and other exciting online deals. If you're a member of the rewards program, you'll even earn a few points towards a future purchase just for subscribing. This is especially useful during the holiday season, when you can stock up on ultra-discounted titles for your friends, family and even yourself—we won’t judge.
Join the Book Outlet Loyalty Program
Book lovers can earn points towards future purchases by joining the Book Outlet Rewards program. You earn one point for every $2 spent, and you earn a $5 credit for every 100 points earned. You can also earn points by referring friends to the site, signing up for the email newsletter, creating an account, taking quizzes and engaging with the company on social media.
Book Outlet Credit Card and Cash Back
Book Outlet is not currently promoting a store credit card. We have not seen any cash back rewards or manufacturer’s rebates at this retailer.
Status-Based Discounts
Anyone who is enrolled in school can claim a 10% student discount, as long as they can validate their student status through StudentBeans. This discount cannot be used to purchase gift cards or in conjunction with another Book Outlet promo code.
Book Outlet is not currently offering a senior citizen discount or military discount.
Book Outlet Return Policy
All book purchases are backed by a "We're Readers Too 110% Guarantee." If you receive a book that is misprinted or structurally compromised, you can submit a help ticket explaining the issue. Book Outlet will send you a new copy of the book and a 10% credit towards your next purchase. If the book is not in stock, you'll receive a 110% credit for your next purchase. This does not apply to Scratch and Dent books, though you can get another copy as long as the book is in stock. For returns on books that you don't like or want but are in good condition, you have to request a refund within 5 days of delivery so you can obtain a Return Authorization Number. Scratch and Dent books are not eligible for return, and sealed digital copies and CDs must be factory sealed if you want to return them. You are still responsible for the price of return shipping.
Book Outlet does not have a stated price adjustment policy. It’s best to assume that all prices are as marked, given the deep discounts already in place. If you have any questions about pricing, you can reach out to the Book Outlet customer service team.
Get the Best Shipping Price
Book Outlet provides free shipping on all orders over $35. If an online promo code brings your total down below the $35 minimum, you will have to pay the $5 flat rate shipping fee. Clearance titles do count toward this amount, as well as books that are on sale or part of a promo. You do not need a Book Outlet coupon code to qualify, the discount automatically applies when you hit the spending minimum.
