How to Save at JetBlue
Look out for frequent JetBlue deals. You’ll find JetBlue coupon codes and promotions offering deals like 70% off JetBlue getaways or special rates on specific non-stop flights.
Be flexible with your flight dates. When you search JetBlue flights, you can see the price for the same flights on different days and, often, adjusting the days you flight could save you hundreds.
Check out JetBlue Vacation Deals, also known as JetBlue Getaways, which offer discounts on flight and hotel packages. Plus, they offer a low-price guarantee when you book a Vacation Deal and will refund the difference if you find a lower price within 48 hours of booking.
Join JetBlue’s reward program, TrueBlue. Members earn points by purchasing JetBlue products and services, which can then be redeemed for “Award Travel” flights.
Sign up for a JetBlue credit card. There are two options depending on whether you want to pay an annual fee or not, but both earn you bonus TrueBlue points and savings on in-flight services.
Check your bag online rather than at the airport. You’ll pay $20 online versus $25 if you check it once you’re at the airport. Alternatively, if you’re looking to avoid JetBlue’s baggage fee, compare prices between the cheapest “Blue” ticket and the upgraded “Blue Plus” ticket. The “Blue Plus” ticket comes with one checked bag free, so if the upgrade is less than $20, that may be the better option.
JetBlue Pet Policy
JetBlue allows you to bring one pet per passenger as long as the pet and carrier weight less than 20 pounds combined. The pet carrier cannot exceed 17"L x 12.5"W x 8.5"H and there is a $100 pet fee each way. Remember that vaccinations and documentation are required for pets and your animal must stay in the pet carrier throughout the airport and flight.
JetBlue Checked Bag Policy
If you are purchasing the lowest fare level for a JetBlue flight, you will pay $25 for the first checked bag, $35 for the second and $100 each for every additional bag. “Blue Plus” and “Blue Flex” tickets will earn you one and two free checked bags respectively. Checked bags must meet certain dimension restrictions and weight 50 pounds or less. Oversized bags or those heavier than 50 pounds will be charged $100 per bag.
