Thanks for the sneak peak. I don't really see anything too exciting. :(

angellinda

Thank you.

mrsfloyd

Thanks for the preview! The Huggies deal is kind of sad, but I'll probably pick up the boxes of wipes anyway (still have GOS, might as well use it on wipes!). Can anyone tell me, if we have a raincheck for the wipes at bogo50%, will they override the sale price and ring it as full price and then half price, or will they ring it as the current sale price and then half price? Or does it just depend on the cashier and the mood they're in with respect to the alignment of the planets? LOL Trying to decide if it's worth it to get rain checks this week (3/20).....

penner42

Any bets on this page being missing from the SoCal ad?

Supergirl9801

You know it does say in fine print "pg 8 SOUTH/EAST"...so maybe :( However...it is 2 pages of the ad...do you normally miss that big of a section from the ad??

SouthernBelle5

Thanks supergirl. I may pick up some Mr Clean Erasers. We go through those so fast..

BadMoonRising

Thankers.....
Is there any Fine Print on a Limit?????

penner42

No, we're usually only missing one page, I think.

Anyone know the regular price on these? There's a BOGO (exp 4/17, first day of the sale... we get a couple extra days in SoCal if we have these deals) in the 3/6 SS, but it's only up to $1.39. Unlikely a store will have 40+ of them to reach the $30, but it's certainly a good way to get that total up.

BadMoonRising

1.59 to 1.69 depends which stores I go to obviously YMMV
Limit on q is 1.39

Rite Aid "How To"

+13 4086 Views 11 Comments

Rite Aid "HOW TO" MANUAL *PLEASE* read this first before asking questions
Hello students and welcome! I am your professor, HoratioHoney and this is Rite Aid (AKA RA) 101. I have also taught Walgreens 101, so some of the ground I cover may be familiar. ;)

We will begin with the basics, and that starts BEFORE you even walk in the door. Doing the actual deals does NOT materialize out of the ether, my friends. You must work at it.

First, you WILL need a coupon binder. Not just an organizer, a BINDER. The organizer will hold your Qs for the week, the binder will contain your clipped Qs. I use this kind of organizer: 505843 It goes into the store with me each and every time I go. It's separated into sections for each store. This is for the Qs you KNOW you will need for the week, the deals you are specifically there to buy.

The binder I use looks like this: 505841. GET A BINDER THAT ZIPS ALL THE WAY AROUND. You can choose not to heed this advice, but you WILL knock it off or out of a shopping cart at one point and when you do, you will wish on every star in the sky that you had bought one with a zipper. I use clear plastic baseball card sheets to contain the Qs and keep a small pair of scissors to cut out store Qs in the front zip pocket of the front of the binder (I am mentioning these things so when you look for a binder, you will keep all of these options in mind - you may think you won't need a binder with a pocket or spaces for pens...YOU WILL). If you (as you often will) run into more items than you have Qs for and need to cut them out of the paper or the circular right there in the store, you should cut them so they do not look like who did it and ran when you hand them over to the cashier. I organize them into sections based on what they are: food, health & beauty, cleaning supplies, etc. I also cut out store Qs for RA, Target, etc. This allows me to find a Q quickly when I need it. CUT YOUR QS NEATLY AND CAREFULLY AT ALL TIMES, WITH THE EXPIRATION DATE IN TACT. You need the binder for the deals you come across that aren't expected as well as your known weekly deals. Instead of possibly losing out on some sweet clearance deals by having to run home to cut out or pick up your Qs, they will be in the binder in your car. ***I do not cut out all Qs each week. I cut out the ones I need for the week and Qs for items that are on perpetual sale (usually for trial sizes), then file them chronologically (by date) according to what insert it is: RP, SS, P&G. *** I usually check Taking Stockhttp://projects.newsobserver.com/taking_stock to find qs by their insert date. She doesn't always have all the Qs (she's in NC, I'm in CA), but most and she puts then in alphabetical order, so they are easy to find.

As far as getting multiples of a Q, there are different ways to do so: buy newspapers that contain them, trade for them, pick them up at the recycling center, finding SmartSource blinkies, peelies, on ebay or on coupon clipping sites. You can find the upcoming sales on SD and prepare for them a month in advance or more. On free or MM (Money Maker) deals, there will be a mad rush for the Qs. So be sure to procure yours before that time or you will be frozen out of a deal or have to pay out of the nose for them. Also, if you order them too late, the deal will be over and you will have missed the boat. You can go to Taylortown Preview [taylortownpreview.com] to see what should be coming in the next insert (Qs can be regional - you may not get them or may receive a coupon with a different amount than another area).

Once you have your Qs tucked neatly in your organizer and binder, you need to make the most of your trip. Rite Aids has a program called Wellness+. This includes a daily discount that lasts until the end of the year of 10 or 20% (you must earn these, I will get to that) and coupons good on your next purchase, called +UPs. They look like this: 505079

The Wellness+ program allows you to earn additional money off by reaching 2 levels, silver (10%) and gold (20%). You can read more about the program here: Wellness+ (http://www5.riteaid.com/wellness). You can either sign up online at the link above and print out a temp card or in the store (if you choose to sign up in store, they will immediately give you a card along with 2 keychain cards. One great things about signing up is that you will receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more. :D

For every dollar you spend on non-prescription items, you will receive 1 point. Certain items will NOT count, such as: cigarettes, alcohol, gift cards, online purchases, lottery tickets, licenses, money orders, money transfers, prepaid cards, stamps, other mail services and items prohibited by law. For each prescription, you will receive 25 points. BE SURE TO SCAN YOUR CARD AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH TRANSACTION. With each transaction you accumulate points and you will get closer and closer to rewards (where you are at present will print at the bottom of your receipt - at times it takes a few days for the system to catch up): 505083

- Plus level (everyone begins here, you don't need to earn anything to reach this): for every 125 points (up to 375) you receive a 10% off shopping pass

- Silver level: when you reach 500 points, you will receive 10% off all non-prescription purchases every day and receive free health screenings

- Gold level: at 1000 points, you will receive 20% off all non-prescription purchases every day

At the end of the year your points reset unless you reach Silver or Gold status. If you are at either place, you will remain there.

Now that you are enrolled in the Wellness+ plus program, you can also take advantage of members' only pricing that you will see in the Rite Aid weekly circular. 505081 Please note that with the Wellness program, you will get whatever is better, the sale price or your discount. Let's say that an item is $5 regularly. If you're at 10% off, it would be $4.50. If you're at 20%, it would be $4. If the sale price is $2.50, by using your card that is the price you would get because the sale price is better than what your discount would give you. This is important to remember if there is a deal that requires you to reach a certain amount to receive a +UP. *** There seems to be a recent issue concerning this and BOGO deals and coupons.*** As I will mention below, the way the price looks before your transaction is totaled can appear different than it will after. Some cashiers are attempting to put whatever the price is with your discount in instead of the BOGO price, which will make you pay more. If this happens,. ask them to a preview receipt, which will show them the p[roper price to credit for you the coupon. If the coupon has a limit less than what the item is, please be prepared for that and pay it with a +UP or it will be part of your OOP (Out Of Pocket).

Not only that, you will also be able to receive +UP rewards, like I showed you above. These are coupons that you can use on your next transaction. Unlike RRs, +UPs can not be used elsewhere. However, they do not have a limit of 1 per items, like RRs. You can use as many as your transaction will take and they will eat into tax. The way I present my Qs at RA is: MQ, In-Ad Q, VV (Video Values, we'll get to this in a minute), then +UP. When you are looking at your screen (the one that you sign when using a credit card), you will see your totals. Go by what the SUBTOTAL line says, not the tax or anything else. Why? Because the subtotal line will tell you how much more in Qs you can use. I use MQs first because in most states, MQs do NOT change your total by affecting tax. Since In-Ad, VVs and +UPS are store Qs, they WILL affect your tax. Just remember that the items listed as restricted on your +UPs need to be "paid" for by your MQs. ***Also please note that RA registers are funny. You will not see the sale price until you receive your receipt. There is a line right below the subtotal line that will show each discount you are getting as you are being rung up. It won't look right to you or the cashier while it's ringing up. But on your receipt after you've paid, it should be fine.***

Fillers are inexpensive items that you add to your order so you can use more +UPs or to reach a certain amount so you can use $/$$ coupons. There are candies called Cowtails and Airheads that are 20¢. Generally, you can find them in the candy section by the registers. Just remember that 20¢ is their every day price, so your discount (if any) will apply. Clearance is also good for this. Like Wags and CVS, most times clearance will also be good for +UPs, if it qualifies. recently, Jessie's Girl polish was qualifying for a $2+Up when you bought 2. Most of the Jessie's Girl nil polish was on clearance for 74¢. So for $1.58, you received back $2,a making it a moneymaker of 42¢.

As of right now, it appears that the limit in 1 transaction for individual +UPs is 19. Meaning that for your total transaction, be sure you are not expecting more than that amount back because after 19, they may or may not print and depending on the store, they may or may not understand or help you figure it out. So you may be better off doing separate transactions for certain items if you are buying a lot of items that will garner +UPs.

Another new thing with +UPs is the way they affect RCs (Rain Checks). Right now, Reach toothbrushes are $2.99 with a $2+UP. If the store is out, they should write the RC so you pay 99¢ when you turn the RC in. If you turn it in at the right time, you could pay 99¢ and use a $1 MQ (adjusted down to 99¢), making it free, then receive a +UP for it. :woot: Or if there is no +UP, get it free.

Recently, the larger +UP deals are tracking. If you have ever shopped at CVS, you should be familiar with this. It means if you need to reach a certain amount to get them, you can do so across several transactions and by using the same Wellness+ card, it will "track" how much of the items from the promotion you've purchased. This may be something you want to do so you can use more $/$$ Qs or due to lack of inventory at one store. They should print the amount you have purchased so far so you know how much more you need to receive your +UP.

I suggest that if you are new to RA or couponing in general that you read this thread: https://slickdeals.net/forums/show...st12397282called Coupon Barcode Basics. I say this so you can learn how to better USE your coupons, NOT abuse the knowledge. They will help you learn why some Qs beep and others do not, when you will need to fill in the price on some Qs for the cashier to input it and why other will automatically do so on their own.

Which brings us to the use of MQs with RA's store or In-Ad Qs. You CAN use them together. In fact, according to the RA coupon policy, you can use up to 3 coupons on ONE item as long as their total doesn't exceed the value of the item. I know you're wondering where you're going to get the third Q from, and it's from RA's AdPerk program, which I will get to later. Pertaining to the use of up to 3 Qs, the coupon policy says:

* All coupons match the item being purchased.
* The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.
* No more than one "48" Rite Aid coupon, one "49" Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon and one "5" Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.

The thread on the RA coupon policy can be found here (https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=741474&t=2159302). I definitely recommend that you download it, print it out and keep it in your coupon binder. I also have a copy downloaded on my cell. It came out in August of 2010 and still there are some employees who do not know it, although EVERYONE was required to read and sign the employees' 7 page copy.

The In-Ad Qs in the weekly circulars do say 1 per customer, but I have IN PERSON been told by a District Manager that you can use more than 1 at a time (this does NOT give you carte blanche to do 50 in 1 transaction!) :shake:

In Wags 101 I covered turning RRs into GCs (gift cards). I do it all of the time at RA. They have a LOT of gift cards to pick from there, from restaurant GCs to gas cards, to game store GCs to prepaid Visa and MCs to plain old RA GCs. When I do this, I am sure to put it in a transaction I am doing with coupons equal to the amount of the GC I want. Why? Because on the +UP is does restrict the use of them on GCs. So this way my MQs "pay" for the GC and the +UPs pay for the other items. Please note that the prepaid Visa and MC cards take about an hour to be able to use the money on them. The rest are instantaneous.

I can not express how important what I am about to tell you is: BE GOOD TO YOUR RA EMPLOYEES!!! Especially cashiers! These are the people you deal with the most who can and will either make your runs smooth and stress free or make you wish you'd never set foot in the store. Bring extra Qs and put them aside to offer to your cashiers. When you find a cache of clearance items, take all you want, but leave them some or at least offer them some or fill them in on the deal. If they refuse, cool. But if they want some, offer for them to take as much as they want. It's a small price to pay for what you will get back. If you have 20 - 22¢ Reese's in your basket and they take 2, you just garnered some goodwill that will go MILES. The items about to hit 75% of that garner $5 in +UPs? They will be more than happy to put them aside for you...All because you gave them a Q or 2 here and there.

Do NOT be a smash and grabber (AKA S&G). This is someone who comes in an takes ALL of something (on sale or clearance) especially on the FIRST DAY of the weekly sale and leaves mass destruction in their wake. Take a little at a time and leave some for others. You can go back the next day and if you REALLY want something, have them order it for you and only you. Yes, you can order things (and even prepay in advance. You will have to pay for it first, but if you have your Qs in hand, you're set. This is something that a great relationship with a store or stores garners. Do not add to the greedy couponer stigma, show some restraint. Also, each store gets their truck in on different days. Ask when these days are (they change after a holiday)and you can be better set up to get the items you want. This knowledge is also a way to stay ahead of the other couponers in your area. ;)

Which bring me to when you are doing many deals in a row. BE PREPARED and try to shop when it's less busy. If you can't, let people with 1 or 2 items go in front of you. If you are good to your store as I know you will be, they will even open up a lane JUST FOR YOU to check out in. Again, be good to your cashiers and have your transactions ready to go so that the other customers don't complain.

Miscellaneous:

- Purchase vs. transaction. If you have 5 of 1 item and 5 separate Qs for it that say 1 per purchase, you may use 5, 1 for each item. CS and Corporate will support you on that.

- Internet Qs. They are NOT copies, they are from the internet. Smart Source and Bricks both have security features on each Q and can be verified. Save yourself the trouble and only use 2 of each IPQ (internet printable coupon) at a time. At RA, IPQs can not be over $5. This does not apply to RA Qs (this is covered in the coupon policy).

- Unlike Wags RRs, +Ups can be rolled. Meaning that if you just received $5+UP for buying L'oreal hair color, you can use it towards another transaction of the same items.

- Yes, you can use 2 Qs on BOGOF (Buy One, Get One Free) or BOGO 50% off. The way Wags registers are programmed, the savings comes off at the end, when the cashier pushes the total button. And to take this question further, yes, you can use a BOGOF Q when it's already BOGOF in the store. The store's promotion is already paying for one and the Q "pays" for the other. This is also given a green light in the RA Coupon Policy.

Employee Issues: If you have an issue with a cashier, ask for the manager. If you are in the store during the day, the STORE manager should be there. That is the best person to speak to, so that if you have an issue when they are not there, it's known that you did speak to them. Let them give the cashier the ok to do whatever it is you want done. Don't get upset, don't get into a pissing match with them, just calmly ask for the manager. THERE IS ALWAYS A MANAGER ON DUTY, DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU OTHERWISE. In fact, there are usually several around at any given time.

If the SM (Store Manager) is an @$$, simply ask them to void the transaction and leave. Note their name, the time the incident occurred and then call CS. When you speak to CS, let them know that you have gone as far in the store as you can and need a call back from the DM (District Manager).

CUSTOMER SERVICE
(800)748-3243.

Now, if your DM is an @$$ and backs up the SM from Hades, you may need to go to the Regional Manager.

I personally find that a well crafted letter faxed to the CEO gets the best response.

I'm not done, I am still working on it. I haven't gotten to the SCR program yet. It's coming and will be done today.

BTW, [COLOR="Red"]Slayers personally asked me to do this thread, that is why I did it.
=====================

HH, I would cut out the general/tactical stuff and get to the heart of RA q'ing. That's the programs and how they work.

Key elements are wellness (you got the disc. part but not how you 'really' get there), +UP (how to acquire and use them), overview of RA q policy with mention of proper stacking MQ/RC48/49s, Sources of RA q's, and SCR (cashing out). Add notes at the end on special aspects of these programs (finer points).

BTW, when I started q'ing I found these How To's useless as they would mix high level basics with fine granularity of execution (such as how to use a MQ to cut tx) and NOT cover fundamentals in the middle.

Thank you.

jencancan

Thanks Lisa for helping out and adding the wiki and the updating with the matchups. I'm not sure how to do that so... THANK YOU!!!!!

And yes, people can add to the wiki themselves.

Aerochick75

I will start adding them to the wiki (in the future) if I can find out how....are there any instructions somewhere on here?

jencancan

Okay, I can actually answer this. You'll notice after the first post (#1) a section that says WIKI COMMUNITY BOARD. That's what you want to edit. You'll notice something that says EDIT CONTENTS in the upper right hand corner of the board. Click on EDIT CONTENTES (it's kinda small). When you are done, click on SAVE (I think that is on the bottom).

When you editing a Wiki on a busy thread (I wouldn't consider this one really busy) you can make a post that says 'I'm working in the wiki and I'll post when I'm done' Then when you are done, you can edit that post, or make a new post that says 'I'm done working in the wiki'. Why do this? Because the wiki doesn't like it when more than one person is edititing it at the same time.

If you have other questions, it's the best way to learn.

Aerochick75

thanks!

What does it matter if people sign up but don't use it? Not that I would want to waste my time doing that, but am I missing something?

tukwok

Yeah I too don't see any issue if any bothers to sign up but never or rarely patronizes the business. This thread is practically pointless by that merit. It'd be like signing up and never using any cashback site or enough amount to cash in.

Surprisingly you left out Starbucks which I don't personally use. https://www.starbucks.com/card/rewards/program-information

LOV3LYxGRL

Then don't sign up. This is for people who know they will buy from places regularly or occasionally. This may be useful to those who shop at someone frequently but don't know about the rewards clubs, etc.

LOV3LYxGRL

Please explain why it's pointless? It's not pointless to people who shop at these places and would like to be rewarded in the end.

gimmiefreebies

I think they're saying if people randomly signed up for things they wouldn't use that would be pointless. And, by that merit, then this thread would be pointless.

gimmiefreebies

If you guys like rewards programs you might be interested in http://awardwallet.com - a place to keep track of all your rewards from programs like this. They track over 350 different programs. Hmmm... that would be a mighty long thread to list them all here. ;)

gimmiefreebies

They're not complaining, they're asking what's the difference if you sign up for a rewards program and don't use it. What harm would that do... :)

/just the messenger.

LOV3LYxGRL

The whole point is to inform people who shop at these places, not the ones that just sign up randomly. It's not pointless for those who have found it useful. If they're not complaining, why are they objecting to this thread then? And why would someone give it a thumbs down? Because they don't find it useful for themselves.

&

Please stop commenting if you, yourself, do not find this topic useful. There are some people who are not aware of these programs who may be interested.

DaSaver

Thanks!

Stayfree should be free if BOGO hasn't expired yet. Same for Bayer Adv.

Surprised the New Colgate Optic stuff isn't free yet. I know it's new but can't see myself paying for the stuff.

ETA: Stayfree BOGO expires 8/30 so no go. The $1 off from 8/21 SS will work, making it 2/$1 just like it is this upcoming week (8/28 - 9/3).

Ttlmmky

I think the BOGO q expires on 8/31

MarPat

The No Nonsense single socks are $1.99 in my store. So a good deal with the B1G1 50% off combined with the $1.50 VV and the $2 UP on 2.

This VV coupon has been talked about a lot in previous RA posts. Just wanted to mention price.

Also, a HUGE thanks for all the effort everyone always makes to post weekly ads and deal combos!
I don't think you always get the praise you deserve, but it is sincerely appreciated.

mommamoojuice

That's what I am going for :)

They are the organic cotton one's at my store. My store does not carry the liners.

angellinda

Thank you, DCBlogger! :)

I'm heading into the wiki to add the important links. Done

MarPat

from DCBlogger's list:
Olay Total Effects or Regenerist Skin Care $17.99 (Regular Retail $21.99 - $29.99)

$3 off coupon on Olay Regenerist facial moisturizer. Says excludes "something". Can't read what.
exp. of 9-30 (from this last weekend's paper, I think).

May or may not work as I can't read much of this coupon. Really dislike P&Gs teeny tiny print on black that is always so smudged once printed. They want us to coupon correctly but we can't read the coupons to decide if it is applicable to what we want to purchase! If you can read yours, please correct this info.

Ttlmmky

If we're looking at the same coupon, then mine only says, "Excludes trial size"

emilaybaybay

Gentle Naturals or Caldsene Baby Care Products $4.99 - $4 +Up
$1/1 Gentle Naturals IP (http://www.gentlenaturals.com/coupon)
$1/1 Caldesene IP (http://www.caldesene.com/coupon)
Must register, then you'll receive an email with a one time use link with a PDF. Gentle Naturals x1/31/2012, Caldesens x7/31/2012.

AhorrarDinero

went to a different computer with a different address and it prints the same coupon

Joejitsu

The two coupons are .PNGs, not .PDFs. They also are not unique or one-time use, but thanks for the heads up!

emilaybaybay

Yep, PDF Q.. Print as many as you'd like.

Uh... Does it matter? To me, a PDF Q is a Q that is not unique, and can be used more than once. I was trying to say that the link is one time use. Once you open the link, you can't open it again in another window... It says your Q has already been redeemed.

Joejitsu

It matters as much as any correct data matters, I suppose.
The png is hosted at a seperate link, and can be retrieved over and over again.
Example 1 (http://www.gentlenaturals.com/sites/all/themes/gn/images/gn/coupon.png)
Example 2 (http://www.caldesene.com/coupon/image/e1276cf1-2c62-4ec4-e39a-a5877a2fe55e.png)
So again, thanks for the heads up!

NatalyaB

Yes, definitely a good time to use the free Pantene q's since they expire Sept.30th

Thanks! :)

NatalyaB

Thanks and repped for posting... But I gotta say, this is the saddest VVs I have seen. I think January has the best but I guess it's gonna go downhill from there.

SoCalGal

Oooooh, the FREE mouse pads are back!!!

creidesca

HU! The free mousepad will be shipped to home (and shipping charges are not included as part of the offer)! Just follow the instructions on the coupon, upon check out you will need to enter in the promo code.Cheapest S&H is $5.99. I remember needing to put the mousepad outside (weather permitting) for a few days to air it out.

Does anyone know how much Shipping is? I looked but could not find it.

Tums Freshers Q is a good match with the $1.50 IP available here (https://slickdeals.net/?&u2=https://www.tums.com/save-on-TUMS/freshers-coupon.html) [tums.com (https://slickdeals.net/?&u2=https://www.tums.com/save-on-TUMS/freshers-coupon.html)]

ETA - the MFQ is for 50-count. Doesn't appear there is a size restriction on the VV

nomorerain3

The $1.00 off any Air Wick item VV Q should make for some free freshening cones/sprays with a sale or possibly 20% discount.

I am thinking that the $1.50 off any Burt's Bees excluding lip will make for free cough drops again as well.

How much are the single packs of Oreos? The $1.00/2 Oreos Q doesn't have size restrictions either.

mysticprincess

If you have the 20% off gold discount, Gum Periobalance will be free after $10 monthly UP (ends Tuesday April 3rd), $5 IP or in package coupon, and $5 VV.

angellinda

State/County Health Depts. Have free flu shots.

Never had the Flu shot and I've never had the Flu. It's been 29 years and I think I'll stick to that formula....Thanks tho OP my wife will appreciate

jordanz12

Lol, every year I get a flu shot, I get the flu. I've tried getting one every other year for 6 years now, and I always get the flu only on the year I get the shot.

So I now say F*** the flu shot. I think it's a conspiracy so the government can inject you with the flu, and gain your money from your doctor visits and medicine purchases :).

SlickRat

I'm 40. Same here...

Milkbone

You should thank your wife, and all the other people who get the flu vaccine, that prevented you from ever getting the flu. Follow the herd and get a flu shot to make the whole planet a healthy place to live.

jolt-tsp

Not sure if sarcastic...

Up-voting this to try to cancel out the 'not a good product' votes..

jordanz12

Then how do you explain the fact that I get the flu only on the years I get a flu shot? Just pure coincedence? I think not...

wirelessfreak

Who wants the flu? Why get it in a shot? And pay money for flu in a shot too?!?
When I want the flu, I just shower and go to work without drying up.
(sarcasm)

Gosh

Got a flu shot four weeks ago, has been aching for three weeks - muscles, joints...everything. Four weeks later got a flu. Thanks, no more.

Milkbone

Pure Coincidence, The flu vaccine is not made from live virus cells. There is no way to get the flu from the vaccine, although it is possible to have a short lived immune response(brief flu like symptoms) from the vaccine, which only protects you better.

bgammill

you forgot to add:

YET

Milkbone

The flu vaccine is no guarantee that you won't get the flu. The flu virus is constantly mutating, and the vaccine only provides some additional protection. But as a whole it protects the population from a flu pandemic.

SmoothKriminal

The shot is giving you the flu its a money maker and it kills a small percentage of the population. Louis Pasteur said forget everything about vaccines before he died. They put adjuvants and squalene and all sorts of nasty stuff in flu shots including micronized mercury. I have had the flu shot maybe once in the military cause they put it on me before I knew better. Never been sick since I started training hard in my early 20s. Train hard and you have no need for medicine ... ever. That stuff about training curing asthma in Hou Yuan Jia(Fearless Jet Li) is most likely true. Doctors cannot heal you they can only poison you and prune you your body does all the healing itself so you want to boost your body's ability to heal itself. This is done through training, proper diet (cut out grains and dairy and sugar and all synthetic and fermented pickled fried foods except brown rice quinoa stuff like that tho you must eat rotten things to give your gut bacteria or eat probiotics oh yeah you must eat protein most people eat too many carbohydrates and not enough protein(at regular intervals) and greens and fiber) and taking care of your digestive tract and hygiene(oral matters the most).

Some of Big Game VVs, if you didn't print them out from Jan, when you watch the Feb ones, the dates just get extended and you end up only getting 1 VV under "My Rewards" as opposed to 2, one for Jan and one for Feb.

HouseMom

So what happened to the January videos?
I can't watched them anymore ?

NANUandNINI

Yesterday was the last day to watch the January VVs. If you watched January videos but did not print the Qs yet those will still be there. Otherwise it's moved on to February.

HouseMom

oh really that sucks will i watched the important ones like dove, clear scalp, tresemme, and.... i forgot if there was other but those 3 really needed coupons on

Just out of curiosity anyone have a clue why lately they are really pushing the Schick Quattro and the Hydro coupons are few and far between. You'd think since the big thing is a five blade razor they'd be putting out more coupons for that.

houstonman30

Maybe they are just trying to delete their inventory because the Quattro doesn't sell anymore for the exact reason you stated. You know when they start pushing a lot of coupons or high value coupons on a product, it means a change is probably coming to it. Maybe they are discontinuing it, going to make a new version, or just change it in someway. Who knows, but it will be interesting to see what happens to the Quattro during this year.

Note you can earn triple points on all non-prescription purchases thru September 30th. Need to register card first at http://riteaidwellness.com/memberseptember.html

Thanks to Calder for the following:

Riteaid Couponing 101

Sign up for a Wellness Card with a phone number – present card / enter phone number for all transactions.
Regular Non-prescription purchases give you Points.
500+ points = Silver Level = 10% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.
1000+ points = Gold = 20% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.

Riteaid fake money is called Ups. They are, by default, Load2Card (loaded to the account) – but Cashier at register, the 800 number or Online Chat can set it to “Print” at the bottom of the receipt.

Register card online. For two things

VV = Video Value (VV) coupons. Watch 30 second (varies from 15 sec – 7+ minutes) videos and system gives you a VV coupon – that can be used along with a Manufacturer Q (MQ). Coupon barcode starts with RC49.
L2C Coupons – Load to card coupons (eCoupons) – somewhat workable but not a guaranteed eCoupon system. If you present the same paper MQ, the system removes the L2C.

FB RAQ = Facebook Riteaid Coupons (RAQs) – every Monday, RA coupons that can be used with a MQ on a given item. Coupon barcode starts with RC49.

MQ + 1 more Coupon
Rite aid allows 1 MQ and 1 RC49 (VV or FB RAQ) coupon on an item.

Ups
Ups get printed at the bottom of the receipt. Are valid the next day onwards – with a 14 days expiry. You need to cut them out for use for payment.

Up Deal Types
Buy N items, get $ Up = you must buy N items in one transaction. e.g. Buy 2 Get $5 Up.
Buy $$ amount, get $ Up = you can buy in multiple transactions and when your purchases cross the $$ amount, the Up will be printed on that receipt. e.g. Buy $20 Get $5 Up.
((Advanced RA 101: This $$ amount should be greater than 10))

Bottom of the receipt shows the amount spent.
(Unlike CVS, you MUST cross the $$ amount, a penny or two less will NOT print the Up.)

Paying with Ups.
Ups can be used for the entire payment but NOT the sales tax. There is no limit to how many (number) Ups can be used to pay for the transaction; just the amount (spent amount) less tax.

Register doesn’t show Sales Tax amount separately.
RA registers show Total Due and Sales Tax – but NOT Total before Sales Tax (the amount you can use Ups for – you have to do this math.)

Limits: L1, L2, L3 etc
Deals have weekly limits. Bottom of the receipt shows what deals have already been done and the weekly limit reached.
Every month there are some “Monthly deals”; bottom of the receipt shows when the monthly deal limit is reached.
DD = Double Dip = When two deals overlap – and buying enough items will produce two different Ups.

BoGo: Riteaid allows BoGo + 1 cents-off Q – the cents-off Q will beep but the cashier enters it.

BoGo and BoGo50% are better than Gold price: If an item is advertised BoGo or BoGo50, you will not get 20% on the full price item. RA considers BoGo as a 50% discount and BoGo50 as a 25% discount – these are better than Gold level 20% discount; so you only get BoGo or BoGo50.

Got some great catalina q's for the gillette razor deal, mine came from meijer and they were 5/1 venus razor and 5/1 refill pack so keep your eyes out for this cat q! Should make for close to free!

If those are the same Lysol wipes that are part of the monthly buy 3 get $7 this week would be the week to do it as they are on sale 2/5. It would be a $3.50 MM when buying 6 if you had 3 .50/2 q's and 3 1/2 VV q's! Still a small MM even if you used all your VV q's as I already did.

misspt

Good eye. I have a Lysol Sanitizing 35 ct Citrus Wipes with the 3/$7 Monthly UP tag that should DD with the weekly 2/$5.

Drooling over the Nivea deal. At 5.99 ea, they become 1.99 after bogo and UP. All we need is a $3/2 mq or better to make me buy bunches. Even with $1/1 mq I'd buy quite a few. And I shall put a matching vv or RAQ on my wish list :bounce:

ts2d2009

I think the lotion is just a straight $5.99 and the body wash is BOGO.

rydergal

Hmm, could very well be. Even at 6.99 bogo, this has potential to be a very good deal with an mq and/or RAQ. :)

misspt

5.99 lotion or BOGO body wash not both sorry.

m124

I am a RA newbie, what is the best place to ask stupid questions such as "do Up rewards roll?" and "what does L 4 MONTHLY means"?

bxgirl

Here's CHAT (https://slickdeals.net/f/4240294-chat-rite-aid-chat-thread?v=1)

Up rewards do roll and L4 =limit of 4 per card.

Is this right?
$1.99 Simplify Water 42 pk
24 pk?

misspt

according to the type up on fatwallet it is....

NHdoubleK

Has anyone tried this water, & is it any good? My local HS marching band is requesting donations for the marching season & this sounds like a good deal. TIA

misspt

It IS the 24 pack of Purified Water and it's ok. The bottles are real cheap and thin and will "smoosh" and not sit up straight if they are shoved mercilessly into a cooler and the water tastes like the Sams or Great Value water at Walmart with that slightly plasticky taste, IMO. For band kids who are just really wanting something cold to quench their thirst, it should be ok......

NANUandNINI

Thanks for the type-up!

Can you please tell me the limit on

$10 UP Puracyn Foot Wash Solution $10

I'm assuming it's 1 but I figured I'd double check. TIA!

misspt

It's at least 2, but I reserve the right to re-interpret the fuzzy, tiny number as 3 later.....

NANUandNINI

 Thanks! I have to spread the love first so will rep you soon

rainglue

I like simplified water. It's comparable to poland spring, dasani and aquafina. the rite aid crystal lake is disgusting.... tastes like evian.

AFAIK, they should be reimbursed. It says "Available at Walmart" not "Redeem only at Walmart".

The Dove Advanced looks promising.

$4UP wyb $12.00 (L4)
It says buy either a shampoo/conditioner, get a Deodorant free - Which I'm guessing will not count toward $12.00
This is to max out limit & does not include deodorants counting toward $12 or limits on free items:
Buy 5 Shampoo and 5 conditioner and 10 deodorants = $100
- $50 for 10 free deodorants
= $50.00 OOP Get (4) $4UP
NET $34.00/20 or $1.70 each
The right coupons could make this worth while and very likely this will need to be broken up into multiple transactions due to stock and/or possible limits.
Just throwing it out there to think about...

Band aid...I'd buy 9 and use a third $5/3 mq. Makes oop $12, net $4 for 9. And...keep in mind $1 O from each first aid kit bought on a gold card, so it becomes $1 for 9 band aids and 3 first aid kits. And it can be a mm with the 3.49 items, as gold is less than sale price.

Dove...add in 10 dove shampoo vv's.

jen276here

*Thud* Of course!!! I have so many band aids/FAKits I didn't put as much thought into the deal lol Thanks for the correction!

Yes! Dove VV's - brings down to $1.20 each :D Okay, let's get some IP's or Inserts or something! Thanks again!

jen276here

I apparently am a beginner in reputation too - I tried to rep you, but it said I gave you '0' points  I sorry! Will figure out what I did wrong and make it up to you! Unless being such a newb to posting means my reps don't mean much lol

rydergal

I don't remember what the threshold is, but yeah, in the beginning, reps count for 0 points. Eventually you'll give 1 point, then 2, then 3, then max out at 4. Points don't matter though...it's the thought that counts, and all reps are appreciated, regardless of points that go with 'em :)

yensshopper

OT - but thanks for the explanation. I noticed that my reps used to give 3 points and now give 4 so I just assumed, incorrectly it turns out, that SD increased a rep from 3 to 4 points. Your explanation makes much more sense! :D

DJDon

Sorry for piling onto the OT, but this should clear things up:

I believe the coupon is in the 10/12 SS - 10/2 was a Thursday.

Edit: or maybe not - I just checked my 10/12 SS and no Trident coupon - or maybe it's regional???

rydergal

10/12 is correct.

Trident q's are always highly regional. I don't think I've ever gotten one.

ahershy

Looks like the BOGO is a coupon (listed in the 11/2 preview thread) so
Buy 5 Dove Hair Care = 25
Buy 5 Dove Advanced Deodorant = 25
Total = 50
Use 5 BOGO (split tranx according to MFC wording)
Use 5 1/1 VV (YMMV)

Portable Sega Genesis Handheld w/80 Built-In Games: $30+tax at Rite Aid (B&M Only)

+2 9436 Views 14 Comments

Was visiting the Rite Aid today, and noticed that they had the Sega Genesis "Ultimate Portable Game Player" on sale for $29.99+tax. Features a 2.8" screen, six button controls, and built-in rechargeable battery. It charges through USB and comes with a USB cable, but you'll need your own charger. I'm guessing a phone charger would work.

The cool thing is you can load your on ROMS on an SD card and play them on the unit as well! It can also be hooked up to display video to the TV, though you'd have to buy a separate 3.5mm video cable.

Seems like a good deal, considering they're selling for $40 on Ebay and $44 on Newegg Flash.

They're not available online, but it's advertised in the local ads on page 5 as 50% off, though I doubt it ever cost $60!. I've attached a pic of the ad below and also online at https://www.riteaid.com/savings/weekly-ad I was able to pick up two (one for me and one to gift).

Compared with the FP deal from earlier today for the Sega Genesis Classic Game Console, I'd say that this is an equally good deal for the portable version (and you don't have to deal with finnicky wireless controllers).

They'd make for some cool stocking stuffers, to show those young kids what gaming in the 90s was all about. It comes in a ridiculously large box for what's inside :P

The games included are:
Alex Kidd
Alien Storm
Altered Beast
Arrow Flash
Bonanza Bros.
Chakan
Columns
Columns III
Comix Zone
Crack Down
Decap Attack
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
Ecco
Ecco II
Ecco Jr
ESWAT
Eternal Champions
Fatal Labyrinth
Flicky
Gain Ground
Golden Axe
Golden Axe II
Golden Axe III
Jewel Master
Kid Chameleon
Ristar
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi III
Streets Of Rage 1
Streets Of Rage 2
Streets Of Rage 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic Spinball
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog II
Sonic 3D Blast
The Ooze
Vectorman
Vectorman II
VirtuaFighter II
...plus some unofficial/unlicensed crap games that I won't list here

Here's the product description from NewEgg Flash:
http://www.neweggflash.com/Product/01M-015S-00006?nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsNF-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsNF-PC-_-pla-_-Retro+Video+Game+Console-_-01M-015S-00006&gclid=CPDZ8P24v8ICFYtr7AodzWAAtg

sharpedge

Bed, Bath and Beyond have them also, $32 after 20% off coupon, for those that don't have a Rite Aid near them. Walgreens also have them on sale this week for $35.

illtww

Chinese knockoffs.. Junk..

5oclockshadow

Family Dollar stores have them for $30 as well. 25% off if you spend $50 on toys.

Would rather just use an emulator, honestly.

adpalmer83

These damn Sega classic consoles never have Shining Force on them. If I ever found one, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. Alas, tis not to be.

Doctorhino

This one is actually officially licensed by Sega. I hear it is surprisingly decent to play.

Shoryuken23

One of my favorites as well. I have both a Genesis emulator and a Gameboy Advance emulator with the Shining Force remake on my phone. Classic.

cooleyandy

They will never include RPGs, because they usually require a save file, and that means the system would need some sort of rewritable storage. That adds to the cost. These cut cost systems usually includes all games that don't require any storage.

NihonNoir

Prolly why Sonic 3 isn't included, as well.

TheNeck

got this 2 years ago on BF for $20 or $25, great little portable system. Especially once you put your favorite roms on a SD card. Also the only rom i found that didnt run right was contra.

NihonNoir

Can you save on the SD card?

. . . Hard Corps is one of my favorite games, damnit.

TheNeck

forgot to mention about save games as well. Unfortunately there is no way to save games on this device. :(

NihonNoir

Dang. Think I'll stick with just emulating on my DS.

mrdizle

much better to buy an Xperia Play with the android os and built in gamepad. then you can play all emulators. you can also download roms directly to the phone with the browser.

jjct1

Picked one of these up at BBB with the coupon. The box feels really light because it is about 5 times the size of the unit. I figured it would be really cheap but once tacking it out of the box and playing with it, the game system is surprising solid. Good screen, rechargeable and supports adding additional games via the SD card.

Amazon reviews pretty good:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Portable-Player-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B0094H8H78

This system is nice.

Has anyone received the CAT for buying 3 Glade PlugIn Scented Oil Warmer Unit? They are on sale for .99 each. With the $2/2 IP on coupons.com, it would be a MM after CAT if the CAT prints.

mackeysasser1981

I bought these last month when they were 99 cents each...tough to find in stock...yes CAT printed when I bought two..

Buy 2 - get $1 cat
Buy 3 - get $2 cat
Buy 4 - get $3 cat

I used two $1 off Glade IPs for a $1 MM

Does anyone know what the RR price on the Kleenex 6pk for this week's sale is?

oxymoronx

Viva Vantage 6pk

$12.69 BOGO x 4 = $25.38 (seriously with the $12.69 regular retail price?)
Use (2) $1.50 VV
Use (2) $1 MQ
= $20.38, receive $5 Cat (Kimberly Clark deal) and 2 $1 Up.

Net: $3.34 each

If your store allows you to use VV/MQ on free item...it becomes a really nice deal. Plus there are $2 peelies for Viva Vantage. I personally have a few (I found them at a local grocery store...Raley's/Bel Air in NorCal...).

loloman

Thanks for this deal. That is awesome to be able to stock up. I guess I better start watching those VVs. I can use MQ and VVQs on the free items too. I thought I had some of the $2 peelies too but the ones I am seeing in my coupon envelope are $1. Do you maybe have a pic of them? Maybe I do have them but put them elsewhere and if I can see them I will know for sure. I really swore I had $2 ones..... hmmm repped!

So less than 45$ seems good?

osafer

I bought one, for the price it seems decent. I would not pay $150, you would be getting ripped off. Throw it in the back of the wife's car just for the flashlight and firstaid kit.
