From the Q&A on amazon, comparing this to Nespresso:

1. Convenience : Jura Micro 1 equals the Nespresso
2. Taste of Coffee : Jura Micro 1 exceeds the Nespresso
3. Cost of Acquisition : Nespresso is cheaper than the Jura Micro 1
4. Cost per unit of coffee : Jura Micro 1 is cheaper than the Nespresso

Don't buy from the $399 seller. Look at the seller's listing. He has 1 positive feedback for a book and he has 100,000+ listings. Looks like an old seller account that got hacked and is being used to scam buyers by listing a ton of products then never shipping.

Love mine. While the cheapest of the "super automatics", still a sizeable investment for most SD'ers. Has paid for itself for me in terms of not spending on Starbucks, etc... Coffee products (espresso, longo) are superb and you get to use your own beans (vs expensive "pods") to experiment. If you are into coffee, well worth the cost IMO.

you get a proper espresso shot from this? on par with nesspreso? and just to confirm we're all on the same page ... k-cups can barely be considered coffee, right?

Agreed, mine has paid for itself in the two years I've had it, compared to using a pod machine. I enjoy 5+ cups a day, so hard to convince family and friends to switch though, they see the upfront cost and think .25 per cup in a pod is cheaper somehow.

Love mine - have had it now for around 3 years. Bought it for $399 from amazon due to a price mistake on their site and it took them around 10 months to fulfill the order (kept showing back-ordered from that merchant) and I had to go through a few hoops to have them fulfill it through a different vendor!

I scored the same deal. I believe it was around January of 2015. Didn't fulfill order till July after complaining but for $399 it was well worth the wait. I love my Jura. Also, if you subscribe to the Jura website emails they often have some slickdeals of refurbished units. Often higher models and up to 50% off list prices.

Same story as ord0nez - got in on the deal and fulfilled 3-4 months later. Use it for probably 10 shots / day ever since. Not just me, of course, and mostly decaf Smilie

Worth it at $639 as well.

Curious also about how the espresso is. I was never much of a coffee drinker, but being in love with the smell and all that, I took a leap on a Nespresso Inissia and have absolutely loved it. While I like the options they provide for the pods, I'd really like to move on to using beans and get some long-term savings in there while hopefully also having even better flavor.

I have this and use it on daily basis. By all means I'm not coffee expert and glad to purchase this. I can 100% verify that it's better than k-cup and much cheaper. Definitely one of the great buys.

How does this compare to something like a DeLonghi superautomatic?
