The Costco bundle always came with a year of cloud recording, I thought. I wish they would bundle the Pro. My door trim is too thin for this.

Gosh, I bought this 3/30 for $189. Even at that price I thought it was a good deal. List price for Ring + Chime + 1 year sub is $260. Haven't opened it yet so I will take it back for a price adjustment tomorrow. I also found a second Chime at a HHGREGG that is closing for 50% off ($15).

This should be available in store through 4/17. My Costco had at least 100 of them today when I went in for a price adjustment.

Mine came in the other day and just now setting it up. I don't see anywhere about the 1 year cloud subscription. The app just states the default 30 day trial. I'll look again in the box.

On the phone now with Costco tech support concierge asking about the 1-year cloud service. Will update on what they say.

Concierge wasn't able to do anything so they sent me over the Costco.com department 800-955-2292. On hold now after supplying order info.

Update: So after speaking with rep from above number I was told the box the doorbell came in should have included an insert with an activation code. My box was generic cardboard not like the one in the store. I'm not at home to check the box again but they gave me the # direct to Ring department who can help get cloud services activated properly. You will need to have Costco give you your unique purchase order # then call Ring at 1-800-656-1918.

Can anyone compare RING to Skybell to August?

I heard ring has a pretty bad delay when it comes to motion detection and also when someone rings the bell.

Just in the first few days of testing this I can say the motion detection is too sensitive. I set to 5 feet distance and still got notifications when cars passed on the street around 30-40 feet away. The recording would capture the car passing by so I would think it's not bad delay. Not sure about the other brands.

For doorbell rings there might be some slight delay. I got a ring notification today when UPS dropped off a package and in the 10 seconds or so it took to get my phone out of my pocket, open the app, the UPS truck was gone and I can just see my wife at the door picking up the package from the porch.

Plus my wifi isn't the greatest so I would think any delay would depend on your down/up speeds and push notifications to your phone via your mobile service provider.
