NES Classic @ FRYS Electronics for $99 - YMMV - Store Pickup Only

-26 Deal Score
9,019 Views
FRYS Electronics has NES Classics [frys.com] in stock for local pickup at a few locations @ $99. Price is a bit higher than normal, but I don't think that will matter much to the people who have been hunting for one.

Confirmed available in Milton GA, salesperson said they have a "bazillion" in stock right now but it's limit one per customer. Website is now showing OOS for most locations, so this is extreme YMMV.

Good luck!

*Don't be gentle on this post, no one cares about thumbs or pointless rating systems. Get over yourself and your opinions. This is just an FYI for people who have been hunting for an NES Classic...or for the bitter people who couldn't get one to TD a thread Wink

Weren't these $60 at launch?

If so, I get that individual sellers would price gouge, but a main chain store like Fry's too?

Or did Nintendo raise the MSRP?

Yeah. This seems pretty odd.

This has got to be a bundle or something like the miniboss GS one. I don't see a reputable retailer charging more than retail for something like this.

Walmart had them for 38 dollars a few weeks back. This is just Frys trying to make extra cash on a 60 dollars msrp item. Id wait as its not worth it at this price.

Do it! It's insanely easy and only takes about 30min or less depending on how you want to access the ROMs.

I have a nes classic and I use the retropie raspberry pi I built exclusively for retro games. Got the original case for it and a cool set of stickers that make it look like a mini snes. Two of the 8bitdo Bluetooth snes controllers and this thing is awesome. A couple snes and master system games here and there have a little bit of lag, but only very rarely. I highly recommend it. Thinking about building another one in a game boy advance shell

Where did you get those controllers? Amazon? I'm having problems getting my PS3 controller to pair up with the Pi3 Bluetooth, thinking about just buying something else.

Edit: Do you have this [amazon.com] one?

Yup on amazon

8bitdo SNES30 Wireless Bluetooth Controller Dual Classic Joystick for IOS / Android Gamepad - PC Mac Linux

Works great. I did some research and found out that most of the wireless controllers for the nes mini have disconnection problems. It may be an issue with the system. I haven't had a problem with these on the pi3

Just saw your edit - yea but I got the one with the classic purple buttons
