Thanks for chiming in with a worthless comment. "Pro" has better and faster motion detection over the standard version. Night vision is also improved and the base has a siren plus USB storage so you can use your own HDD or USB drive. Maybe try some research before you make a worthless comment.

I have this camera. The only thing I can see is the back of my UPS delivery guy. Meaning, by the time the camera detects motion, people are already walking away.

I had really high hopes that the Pro would be better than the regular, but it still sucks.

I really wanted this to work, because I wanted something wireless. But alas, it's not a good product. I would not recommend it.

They fixed that with the latest firmware update. You can now set it to record as long as it sees motion (max of 5 mins).

That is a better deal than the Amazon 3 for $499. Can't beat $65 for a 4th camera.

That's pretty bad. Are there setting to adjust that? I have the Kuna camera / porch light and it always get everyone as they walk up my driveway and approach my front door. It works great.

My laview motion sensor is way too sensitive. I can only use it for a recording DVR. Good thing it does take clear pic, at least I can see the face

Not that I know of.

Even the speaker feature on this thing is bad. It's not loud enough. It's hard for anyone to hear you talk to them. And there is a long lag between you talking and the sound coming out.

I honestly don't know how this thing is 4.3 stars on Amazon.

I am not just dishing on it for the sake on dishing on it. I really wanted it to work. Because now I have an expensive camera that does not serve it's purpose.

But given it's high rating on Amazon and Bestbuy, I think those considering this should try it out for themselves.

I also had the regular version, and I did not like that one either.

One thing is though, the motion detection is pretty good in terms of sensitivity. At night, it always catches the cat walking past my door. But it just never turns on early enough, that's the problem.

I have the Arlo regular.

I would like to say that their Customer Service/Technical Support/whatever it is, has been the most unprofessional, idiotic, dumbass, moronic, group of fools I have EVER dealt with in my life.

For two months now, I suddenly get a notification on my phone, "Arlo: You are not connected to the internet." Completely random, comes and goes, sporadic, no known reason, etc. Data is fine on the devices,I can log in to the cameras live, and so on. I get hung up on, told a supervisor is not available, falses promises of call backs, etc etc etc.


I like the product, it took a LONG while to get it fine-tuned to trigger with motion, etc......but I have it as I now desire. It does what I want. The wireless feature is great, makes life easy.


But to have such CRAP tech support is beyond unacceptable.




Not thread crapping, just sharing my experience in case someone needs support.

I had the pro for a couple weeks but ended up returning it. motion sensitivity was okay but my main issue was that it could only record in set intervals and between those intervals, the camera will not be able to record for about 20 seconds. The issue was, I set shorter record times to save battery life but when something happened that lasted longer than the set record length, there would be at least a 20 second gap before the camera started recording again.

Another big gripe was there was so much delay that the voice feature was mostly useless.
