If you could add another $100 worth of merch you could use a $50 off $250. That would be a 35% discount on the additional 100. Also, some areas have an 11% rebate.

How does this compare to the makita set from HD that was on sale for 169?

I'm going to give them a try, but I know for sure they aren't dewalt. I would put them with ridgid myself but going to give them a go. thanks for the post.

also I went into a coupon code frenzy when I had received one in the mail (just moved) and saved it to use on something only to find out it didn't work probably from someone generating it. so i took a minute, figured out how to make my own, then bought 2 of these sets with $50off $250.
the brushless circular saw is on sale for $79.99. used a$15off$50.
bought 2 $20 2.0ah batteries and a $10 1.5ah battery used another $15off $50 and I was so annoyed I don't feel the least bit bad. now I have a battery for every tool I bought.

can't beat them join them. anyone having trouble with a code i might can help you out, especially if you had a legit one that didn't work

total out the door for 2 of these sets, the brushless circular saw, two 2.0ah batteries and one 1.5ah =$361.74. including 3.5% cb from site and freedom unlimited. nice deal

I have always wondered who these Kobalt 24v tools are made for. They seem too big and bulky to be used for a "smart" homeowner (who wants to lug around a 7+ lbs drill to tighten common things around the house when you could use something much smaller and has enough power to get the job done such as this [amazon.com]) and they aren't a "top-tier" brand so they wouldn't be used by a reputable professional. Maybe a "weekend warrior" type person but it still seems really big and bulky to be practical.

Just because you had a legitimate one-time-use coupon code taken from you by someone who used a generator, doesn't make it right to then turn around and take someone else's.

the kobalt 24v are actually very nice tools. i bought the complete set a year or so ago when they 1st came out. my wife works for lowes and they offered them to employees for 75%+ off and i have been very impressed. little on the heavy side, but nice metal chucks on the drills. the batteries last a while. some very nice features.

I have nearly the whole Kobalt line and I've been thrilled. 5 year warranty, low price, vastly more power than the m12 stuff I started with. I'm just a homeowner, not a pro, but I'd recommend these any day.

Unless you have an immediate need, wouldn't waiting for this set to go on sale during Father's Day be best?

This set has been $119 during Black Friday. For that price, I was very tempted. 2 brushless tools with comparable torque to the big boys and cheap batteries.

you can buy a dewalt set on ebay for $260 which comes with two big batteries and dewalt > kobalt. Just not worth chancing on a off-standard set for almost no price reduction.
