Is the basic 500MB data also unlimited (2G after 500MB)?

No, it's only 500MB after downgrading to our free plan.

No, their free plans do not have unlimited data, capped or not.

Avoid like the plague. I was actually sort of happy. Then out of the blue random $7.99 a month started getting billed to credit card. Last three months. Been through all their menus can't figure it out at all. They do not make it easy in anyway to figure this out. Plus its weird I have a wireless dongle account and a GSM chip account. GSM one is only accessable from cellphone. Dongle which was dorment started up recently even though its never been used. That could possibly be the fee. But they don't make it easy in anyway to figure anything out or give any notification of billing via email.

Login to your account and be sure you're looking at the information for the right device if you have more than one device on the same account.

After that it shouldn't be that difficult to see your billing history. $7.99 could be for not downgrading Premiere Service under the "Services" menu. Or if you did downgrade it some people have been billed for it anyway in which case you should contact the Freedompop rep here via a PM and get a refund.

Thanks, I'll figure it out when I get home. I have no clue what either number is. One is a GSM on in a tablet. Other is a dongle from Wimax days. I know the GSM one works for sure. But the dongle is suppose to be inactive. Only reason I found the charge! Doing my taxes looking up automatic donations Frown

Never have a real cc with Freedompop. Always put a virtual credit card with a $2 limit

Nearly all Sprint MVNOs use standard Sprint cellular calling. Some possibilities include Tello, Twigby, Ting, CellNuvo, Zing, TPO-- I'm sure there are others.
Only a few use VoIP: they're the exception, not the rule
