Newegg X370 X370GT5-NF AM4 Ryzen Motherboard - $109

Newegg has one of the cheapest X370 boards I have seen in stock :

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6813138450

X370GT5 model was $149 and now is on sale for $119. This deal is for X370GT5-NF.

Took me a while to figure out that NF is "no fan". Also eligible for free shop runner.

X370GT5 has 3 star reviews but I believe it is due to lack of bios updates. I grew up on Biostar and now want to give them another chance after buidling on Asus, MSI, Gigabyte and ASROCK.

No no no, bad idea. Already too many bugs w/ ryzen, no point in going with Biostar. Go with a board likely to provide timely bios updates and address support issues (i.e asrock, asus, msi).

It is the same thing with every new technology. There are updates and revisions. I remember the last time intel had a breakthrough launch with 2500k/2700k line up most of the motherboards were recalled and replaced. I personally sent a p67 for replacement. That was after full launch of the processor line up. Biostar has to stand up behind there product and in the past they have otherwise they would not be business.

It took me a while to figure your "no fan" comment - it means that NF version does not have a fan bundled, which is fine for $10 difference.

Side note - I have used quite a few Biostar Racing boards recently and while they had a few bugs they were really good for the price. Build quality is good and I've got BIOS updates and most issues were resolved. Just as good as ASUS and Gigabyte now, I have no complaints.

This will get you SLi for cheap but I've seen better features on B350 boards. Might be a good option for someone.

Can you update the bios on this with the built in WiFi or do you need a USB?
