Open box $239.99.

Also is this considered 2.1? I don't see mention of that like typical soundbar systems would have. This would definitely be an upgrade to the TV speakers but considering doing a 5.1 or 7.1 soundbar set up

Was $799.99. Is this really an $800 system in terms of quality?

No, but it is $100 less than the current regular price, so 25% off seems like a pretty slick deal. At $299.99 it's a pretty solid deal in terms of quality for the money as well.

From a quick search - more like a $399-499 ..maybe. Which is still balls to the wall crazy for a sound bar. But it is what it is - and for $299 looks like a fair deal if you don't want to bother with the complexity (read: wires) of rear channel speakers.

I bought this sound bar last time it was $299. The audio quality really is top notch. It blows the pants off my Samsung sound bar. The sub has good power, but it is a tad muddy. The feature set and input support is limited, but it does support aptX bluetooth which sounds great. My biggest complaint is the remote. It's awful. It feels cheap and doesn't work half the time. Easily remedied by a universal remote.

Are you really asking that question, should know Klipsch are overpriced as most name brands are.
I don't think you can really use the term overpriced when referencing speakers, except probably Bose. All speakers have a very high profit margin, north of 70%. People perceive speakers very differently. Some people won't hear a difference between a 100 dollar speaker and a 1000 dollar speaker, and some don't want to. Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it is overpriced. Conversely, something that is cheap is not always a good value. Name brand speakers CAN be expensive, that doesn't specifically mean they are overpriced.

Buy with your ears, then your wallet.

No sound bar is worth $800, that will get you a much better full system, no reason to go with a sound bar in that price range, however it did get pretty good reviews even at close to full price, so there is that.

Sub is wireless and it has a remote, BB page is wrong, look at Klipsch website for info.
