guess it's a bad deal huh? I was looking for one so I can hook up my own modem. and Time Warner [spectrum] said I needed a splitter to use two modems at the same time. the cheapest I found was 4.99.

Wait, why would you want to use 2 modems at the same time?

the modem I bought didn't have a phone outlet on it. Since I have internet and phone from time Warner I needed a modem that had both. one end would attach to the old modem and the other would attach to the new one

I already have a bunch of old splitters I don't use, so I don't need any more even at a good price. Apart from the incoming cable modem signal or an antenna, there's not a lot of use for these.
