I pay $6.xx for a Wix filter, what's the advantage to these?

Been clearing out the Bosch D3332 that Walmart has on clearance for $5. Good enough for 7500 mile intervals.

Good deal. Mobil 1 says these are good for 1 year or 20,000 miles which ever comes first, when used with the extended motor oil.

imho a $6 wix will probably not be better than this filter. however, a more expensive wix version may be comparable. the micron rating is higher and they use silicon rather than cheap rubber.

please provide a reason as to why you think a $6 wix is better in terms of performance.

These new M1 AP 20K filters has an efficiency ratings at 99% at 30 micron. The older ones were rated at 99.6% at 20 microns ISO 4548-12 test protocol which is better.

Efficiency drops a little with the new Mobil 1 filters.

Not sure if Amazon is stocking new ones or not. According to the OP's link and picture, they are still the old ones. Not too bad of a deal OP!

I just bought one with amazon prime. I get an extra $2 off when I opted for no-rush shipping. That's on top of the $1 digital credit I get already. Total $7.15 + tax.
