I've been eyeing laptops to get for awhile now and this one seems to check all the boxes. Its an ultrabook design 2 in 1 touchscreen with pen support(Waccom AES) weighting 4.4lbs with a quad core processor and gtx 1050 2GB. Every other ultrabook 2 in 1 in this form factor has a dual core or core M processsor. This laptop was just released, they also just put this one on sale $110, seems like a great time to get one.

I was interested in this, so I went looking for reviews.

Ultrabook reviews as an initial, but a pretty telling review, since the reviewer actually has the laptop in hand. It's pretty disappointing, and enough to convince me not to buy.

Mediocre battery, poor display, horrible trackpad, and performance issues. Some of this could be fixed in the future, but I wouldn't bank on that.

Good find, never-the-less.

I approve of this post. The value and relevance it provides has greatly helped me make a decision regarding this product. I hope this doesn't sound mean or arrogant of me, but I feel it might have helped others just a tiny bit more if the aforementioned post added more information and insight. Like in my equally amazing contribution such as in this post of mine. Possibly more detail on the consistency/texture of the feces?

Peace and love,
Z

Even at 15'' I don't know how a 4.5lb laptop is considered an ultrabook. Unless that's the weight with the power supply it seems a tad on the heavy side. Maybe it just looks thick and clunky to me.

I think I wrote that review, and that wasn't what I was saying at all. I gave it 5 stars and recommended purchase.

Display is awesome
Battery is better than any other dedicated Video Card comp I've seen
Trackpad is as good as any other trackpad, but I prefer old fashioned dedicated buttons
Performance is what you would expect from a budget video card (which the 1050 is)

I bought as soon as it was announced with the intention of using credit card price protection when there was a deal, so I can provide any other feedback

Power supply is ridiculously large so agreed. The computer itself is very thin and feels lighter. In comparison with my wife's HP 15.6 Envy it is about an inch smaller in width (due to small bezel) and almost half the thickness.

looks like they fixed the keyboard's right shift key. Upgraded M.2 Sata to M.2 PCIe. Added usb-c too. Wanted to look at the display in store though, hopefully it's matte and not glossy

is it better than the Dell XPS 15 (9560) ? Costco has the full loaded version (32GB RAM, 4K, 1TB SSD for $1990) while it's more expensive than this and not exactly apple for apples I am more interested in a 15" semi portable power house than saving a few bucks for headaches. thoughts ?

if you are a student like me, you would appreciate a 13" inch laptop. 15" is too big to carry around.

You think you wrote this review? http://www.ultrabookreview.com/14...pressions/

Is your name Douglas Black? That reviewer clearly had issues with the display and the trackpad. And you said the display was great and the trackpad was fine. That review basically made me think twice about going for this laptop as well. Hopefully they can fix some of the big issues.

Ah um..... no. You just seemed to say some things that I included in my review on Lenovo's site that is now seemingly MIA.

I've only used it to play Civilization 6, but I've had no performance issues on above-medium settings. Also, maybe I'm not as picky as that reviewer, but I have to issues with screen brightness, color reproduction, or viewing angle. Personally I think it's a gorgeous screen - the reviewer in the comments seems to think he had a defective screen?

"I'm sorry, but I returned it due to screen defects Frown "

It also looks like he was comparing to a $1500 dell xps model, which was out of my range.

I know i'm just a random internet stranger and likely just arguing for no reason, and my comments may come off as trying to justify my own purchase, but I'm very happy with the purchase and think that review is not reflective of the actual computer.
