Called an auto parts store and this is a good price, so since I use it to start Diesel engines and sometimes use it to seat tires, I purchased 12 cans.

I don't know what's in it but Use caution on some Diesel engines. For several years Detroit Diesel warns not to use ether starting fluids. As long as was above zero never had starting problem. Lower plugged in or idled.

Usage Directions
Do not use in engines with manifold heating aids or precombustion chambers with glow plugs. Stand away from engine compartment to avoid potential injury. With ignition turned off, spray starting fluid into the air intake for 2-3 seconds. Start engine.

Caution: Excess starting fluid can cause serious damage to pistons and gaskets.
