it's a pain in the ass to use its micro USB port into phones that have ports that tightly secure micro USB cables, often with a 'click' mechanism.

when you push this USB drive into the phone, a portion of the micro USB port slides back into the drive casing and the regular USB port starts emanating from the other end.

that results in not being able to connect the micro USB port side of this drive into several devices.

I had one of these and just tried using it before vacation last month. I was loading it with 25 gigs worth of movies and it became write protected on its own. I tried to revert it back using command line tools on Linux and using disk utilities in both Mac and PC. It would not revert back and was forced to throw it away.
