Just a heads up, the 10% promo code for signing up with the newsletter does not stack with this. You'll just get 10% off the normal price, which is much higher.

For what it's worth, I've had the handheld vacuum and, at least in my personal experience, it's a POS. If you're really considering purchasing a vacuum sealer, I'd shell out the extra $40 or so and get one of the automatic units.

I have this and LOVE it. I only use this with the wide mouth jar sealer, to store expensive herbs. Once you get the hang of it, it is perfect. Going to get another.

I second that, it is a POS. Fully charge unit will stay charge for 2 to 3 days only. Every time you need to use it it's 100% dead!

It is an awesome and really convenient item...but as other have said, the battery/build quality is terrible. I would gladly spend $30-$40 on one built well with l-ion or better battery/motor.

I have this and it's great. But I also know how to read directions. I don't expect it to hold a charge for multiple days because it's not a friggin phone.

Had the same experience as others. Always have to charge it just before use as the battery is pos and loses charge sitting in the drawer.

I totally agree these guys are a POS, however, I've found use for it after purchasing some Waring vacuum bags that are meant for the Waring vacuum gun. The bags can be found on the link below, and they're superior to the also POS foodsaver zip lock bags.

What a waste of money? We just use a straw to suck out air from ziplocks and it works just fine 🙂

It comes with a switching ac adapter. Switch to a regular adapter, and you can use it while it's plugged in.
