Samsung - Refurbished Galaxy S7 edge with 32GB Memory Cell Phone - Gold Platinum (Verizon) available at Bestbuy [bestbuy.com] for $359.99

Verizon Galaxy S7 edges are unlocked by default. So, this is basically an unlocked phone and can easily be flashed with the unlocked version's rom/ software if required.

As someone who works customer service at Best Buy, geek squad certified is practically saying it's new but was opened before. I've seen so many returned items that were used once or whatever, and when we process it the items come up as open box, new, or sent back to manufacturer. If it's open like new, it has the ability to become geek squad certified. From what I've seen, only the best quality products get geek squad certified. Others get open box and a quality assigned, or sent back to the manufacturer. Obviously there's no guarantee, but I'd bet my dollar that it'll work just like it was brand new.

major bands missing for both at&t and tmobile so at this price not worth it. also collosal amount of verizon bloat and locked bootloader so no modifications.

It's been this price for at least a week now. Would love to see it drop under $300.

All Galaxy S7 edge are nearly the same hardware wise. Radios are disabled through software. If you flash the carrier's ROM on which you want to use it, the phone works fine.

Looks like it didn't go out of stock, but they increased the price.

No they didn't - that's an S7, not an S7 edge. Not sure why their website does that but if you click around from the original page it jumps between products.

I would agree with most of the time, but this particular series of Samsung devices is different. The U.S. models of the S7/S7 EDGE all have the same fundamental hardware - the only difference is software builds for different carriers which are customized with network LTE bands and features (VoLTE, etc).

You can flash the factory unlocked (U model) firmware onto carrier branded devices via ODIN, which converts the device into a fully functional unlocked variant and removes all carrier branding. This works because you are still flashing the Samsung signed official firmware, so KNOX isn't tripped and system status stays official. The bootloader is still locked, but the device now has all of the LTE bands enabled and will work on practically any U.S. carrier if they allow you to activate it. Obviously you need to SIM-unlock the device before attempting the conversion, but the Verizon variant is already unlocked.

The G935U firmware works perfectly fine on the Verizon model, if your phone hasn't been upgraded to Nougat yet (which upgrades the bootloader version): https://forum.xda-developers.com/...e-t3344092

Newer XDA thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/...e-t3570156

Obviously all of this is YMMV, but it works as long as the software build you are flashing is on the same or older bootloader version.

This is correct information. Well written with links provided. Couldn't have done it better myself.
