Was browsing GameStop Deals and ran into this. All tablets/phones/and smartwatches 25% off.

Pretty decent deal considering most newer Pre-Owned/Refurbished Tablets (Apple iPad Pro 9.7/12.9) and phones (iPhone 7/7 Plus, S7, S7 Edge) are included in this deal. Good luck and happy hunting!

Just a preview of the many things on sale:

Most colors available, some may be YMMV depending on area. Most available for shipping.

iPad Air 2 WiFi, WiFi&Cell - 16/32/128
iPad Pros 9.7/12.9 WiFi and WiFI&Cell - 32/128/256
iPhone 7/7Plus (ATT/Verizon)
Samsung S7/S7 Edge etc.

Happy Easter, hope this helps.

If link isn't working. Click on See Deal or go to www.gamestop.com [gamestop.com] splash page. Scroll about midway and you'll see the deal "25% Off All Pre-Owned Phones, Tablets and Wearables".

Seems the best deals are going to be the iPad Pro's and S7's.

Big question for smartphones:

How do we know we won't get a financed phone 3 months later as the returning window is only 7 days?

I can't believe they call that "premium refurbished" is a lot of them are blacklisted or can't be activated. Getting mine today...
Same here. Getting the pro with cellular today.

Bought 6 cellular ipads last year and got imei blacklisted within 3,5, and 8 month period. I didnt care since i never used it on cellular but they were all good when arrived and it did hurt the resell value when i sold some of them.

Well that isn't very reassuring.

If you are with T-Mobile you might in general lean to Verizon versions as they are GSM unlocked and the SIM works. However, it depends a bit on the model as you would like the proper LTE bands to work. For iPhone 6s the phones all have the same GSM bands on for the US so it does not matter, they are all global phones. For the iPhone 7 somebody already linked an article, you would probably want to get the ATT version instead but make sure it's unlocked or ask for an unlock right away and otherwise send it back.

Received the 9.7 iPad Pro 128GB + Cell. Was a bit dirty but no real visible scratches so far. Shitty fake Apple ear buds from years ago, the flat ones. Cable looks OK but probably fake as well, charger is 2.4A but after market and I would bet not MSI certified. Anyway, did not want to buy a charger, but for "premium refurbished" ....

Looks good with the machine so far. Looks great outside. Works great. Apple warranty until August, so 9 months old, I could even buy Apple Care if I wanted. IMEI looks all clean. Checked 3 IMEI sites, looks all got so far. TMo SIM was accepted.

1.) Check Apple: https://checkcoverage.apple.com
2.) Swappa ESN Check: https://swappa.com/esn
3.) http://www.imeipro.info

So far so good! Very happy so far.

Update: Just checked the battery load cycles with Coconut Battery [coconut-flavour.com] and it has 44 load cycles, holy crap, that's like new. Also, iOS is 10.2.1, so it's not that anybody spent time updating it. To be honest, I don't think anybody spent any time checking anything on this machine or even wiping it with a cloth.

Gamestop might just check iCloud, do a reset, and sell again.

well, went into a store with the intention to return my 9.7" pro with LTE that had its IMEI blacklisted. the guy said he had another one in stock, so i did a straight up exchange. i was in a rush and didn't have time to check the IMEI in store.

just got home, popped my tmo sim card in.... and once again, the IMEI is blacklisted.

gamestop has to do something about this. the store manager (great guy, btw) stated that policy is to only check whether iOS devices are icloud locked. there is no IMEI check, even at the time of trade in. of course these devices could have clean ESN/IMEI at the time of trade, and then go bad weeks or months after.

it's a joke for a national retailer to be complicit in widespread fraud like this. i'd suggest that they either (a) guarantee to customers that the cellular models won't be blocked, or (b) stop accepting cellular models as trade-ins.

EDIT: finally, my third ipad was able to activate. if it's blacklisted in the future, i'll file a chargeback with my CC.

I picked up an S7 Edge, and while the phone is not blacklisted(yet), when trying to get it unlocked ATT tells me that the phone is still on a payment plan. I explained the situation and they recommend I return the phone. Guess I'll be returning it later today.

Purchased an iPhone 7s Plus and Swappa says the IEMI is whitelisted but it says the phone can't be activated. I turned the phone on and it let me set up everything and never asked for the previous owner's password. Should I still return the device?

I think they mean you cant use it on a certain carrier not go through the setup process. Also swappa is not 100% accurate since i checked my the ipads that were blacklisted a few months later and they also came up as clean.
