Nashbar is having a 25% off site wide sale (orders >$49) including bikes, discount applies in cart. Two interesting items are the following:

- The Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike [nashbar.com] which typically retails for $300 is on sale for $244 (inc shipping). Not the cheapest it has ever been (last FP SD for this bike was $238 shipped) but seems to be a solid deal.

- The Diamondback Insight Flat Bar Road Bike [nashbar.com] listed in the previous FP post is also on sale for $282 shipped (compared to $270 in the previous FP post)

Accessories and other bikes are also on sale. Not the best ever pricing but pretty decent.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

How are these as compared to the GT aggressor posted earlier last week?

I like nashbar, but their house brand bikes are hilariously named. They have the Mekk Pinerolo, for example. A weird mash up of Merckx and Pinarello

Well to point out the obvious.. this is a "road bike" with no suspension and the GT is a "mountain bike" with a front suspension fork. Also the tires differ. Happy shopping

I was about to pull the trigger on their cx1 cyclocross bike for $450 then realized the free shipping doesn't apply to bikes. That plus tax killed it for me.

How good are these bikes for 10-20 mile trips? Can someone compare these two bikes?

Mekk isn't a house brand of Nashbar. I do think they're the sole importer of Mekk, though.

Get the floor pump!

http://www.nashbar.com/webapp/wcs...1623_-1___

I've tried many floor pumps, and nashbar's is, hands down, the best one out there. I've owned silca, lezyne, park, topeak, bontrager, etc. (many of them $100 or more). That orange pump is the only one I ever use now, and at 30 bucks on discount... it's a damn steal (it's a steal at the regular 40 bucks too).

Shipping and tax adds (in Florida?) adds $40 to the discount, not sure that's worth it.

Have had the flat bar road bike for a couple years... great bike, 10-20 mile rides no problem!

I have the 19" flat bar road bike and my 5'6" wife uses it with the seat lowered, but not all the way. I bet 17" would fit you fine!
